IN RING...

Valentina Lovelace has barely finished her intro when “Forever” plays over the PA System. Karen Willow comes out, still in street clothes as she marches on down, ignoring the fans in attendance. Chucking the NVR World’s Title in the ring, Karen slides in moments later, frustration on her face as she snatches the belt off the mat. Rather than continue to hold it, Karen drapes it across the top turnbuckle as she’s handed a microphone. Karen takes a few moments to look at the belt, only the sounds of her breathing heats before she sharply exhales.

KAREN WILLOW: “You know that’s the World’s Title, yeah?”

The question hangs in the air as she turns, looking directly into the camera lens.

KAREN WILLOW: “Zoom in on that title belt. Get nice and close so everyone sees that.”

Sure enough the cameraman follows her orders, the face plate taking up the screen as Karen narrates.

KAREN WILLOW: “This right here is what everyone in the back wants. This is what Julianna DiMaria and Hammerstein are fighting each other for. This is the top prize in the company, a title that I went through hell to defend, nevermind win in the first place. So tell me. Why are Emma Douglas and Arlen Kirk in the main event instead of Riley Savell and myself?”

The camera is roughly pulled away from the title belt, focusing on a very pissed off Karen.

KAREN WILLOW: “I’ve been where these women are. Last year I made it to the finals of the Women’s Summit before Mimi Smith stole it from me. I understand how important the Women’s Summit is, but this isn’t the finals we’re talking about. This isn’t the semi-finals. This is a qualifying match. Hell, Emma Douglas doesn’t even go here! She’s come from Mainstream, and last I checked, we kicked their asses and proved we were better! And yet you wanna put your world title second to last?”

The camera has backed away to a safe distance, Karen still fuming as she rips the title off of the turnbuckle.

KAREN WILLOW: “When I won this title, Caleb came to me and asked me who I wanted to fight. And I told him I would be a fighting champion, someone who took on the best that NVR had to offer. And if you look at the roster, Riley Savell is among the best in this company. She has a resume that speaks for itself, and I wanted to challenge her because I knew it would bring eyes to NVR. I knew for a fact that people would come to see Riley Savell challenge for the belt, because she has the pedigree to lead this company. And she could still win this title, but goddammit, it deserves to be in the main event! This title, this World Title should be defended in the main event, not playing second fiddle!”

Karen lays the title on the mat, the face plate shining under the lights as Karen shakes her head in mock disbelief.

KAREN WILLOW: “I told you when I won this title, I told you when I defended this belt against Santana, and I will tell you now. I am not letting this belt be disrespected any longer, and that includes management. You have two world caliber athletes fighting for this belt, for the right to lead this company, and we deserve better than a Headline Match when we both know we’re Main Event. You know it’s not right Caleb, you know deep down that we deserve better than this. The fucking Headline Match?"

"As long as I'm the champion, this will never happen again. I don’t care if Eddy Poe rises from the grave, he can do that in the opener before I shove him back in that casket. This is your World Title, this is what every man and woman dreams of holding, and I won’t see it diminished anymore."

"Now enjoy the fucking show.”

Karen spikes the microphone into the mat, causing a burst of static over the PA System before the sound cuts off. The crowd are unsure of how to react as Karen grabs the title belt, rolling out of the ring. A select few still cheer the champ as she marches to the back, brushing off some of the personnel that have gathered near the entrance as she heads backstage. Suddenly "Ima Boss" by Meek Mill plays and Caleb Jackson meets Karen Willow on the stage. Karen and Caleb stare at each other for a moment as President CJack waits fore a microphone.

CALEB JACKSON: Now, Madam World Champion, I appreciate your want and need to make sure this title gets the upmost respect. It is your job as well as mine. This year's Women's Summit is booked a little differently than prior years, so non-tournament matches were booked between those of those of the tournament, but I understand your grievances.

Karen and Caleb continue to stare at each other.

CALEB JACKSON: However, you also know my policy about these things. It hasn't changed in the near 2 years that I have been in charge of this company. If you want something, then all you have to do is ask. I'm not a difficult man to work with..

Caleb pauses as Karen continues to look at him with discontent.

CALEB JACKSON: So if you want the main event spot... you've got it, Champ!

Karen doesn't say anything, but the crowd goes crazy for this announcement. Karen raises the title high in the air before walking to the back finally.

Francesca and Kira Brooks circle each other for a bit. It looks as though Fran is playing mind games as she switches direction on Kira, fakes going for the test of strength and side steps Kira's shots when she actually finds an opening. Eventually, it is as though Brooks gets fed up as she lunges forward and reels Francesca into a lock-up, easily getting her into a headlock position. Kira moves forward to issue a takedown, yet Fran locks her feet and stands firm. Francesca manages to sway the momentum, hauling Kira off for a strong Irish whip. Headscissors takedown attempt by Fran, yet Kira surprises her by landing on her feet beside her and trying to snap her back with a neck breaker, yet Francesca catches this and drills Kira with a couple of back elbows for her trouble. Taekwondo style arm drag sends Kira sailing, and Fran follows up with a standing moonsault for the early cover, but it’s just a 2 count. This prompts Francesca to mount Kira and drill her with forearms. Reversal by Kira and a series of elbows of her own. Brooks hauls the now dazed Francesca to her feet and hard whips her into the corner, immediately following up with her patented cannonball senton, but Francesca moves out of the way. Kira crashes hard, and Franny goes to the top rop-No! Kira is back up to her feet and lands a handstand on the second buckle and an impromptu frankensteiner on Franny! She goes for the cover… 1… 2… Kickout by Francesca!

K.T. ANDERSON: THE YOUNG GOAT KICKS OUT!!! SHE’S STILL IN THIS!!!

MR. WRESTLING 3K: Kira Brooks with a massive desperation frankensteiner!!!

Kira Brooks looking to put Fran away with the hair pull snapmare driver, yet the fans are really picking up as Fran issues a series of back elbows, forearms, and a European uppercut to get out of her predicament. Big vertical suplex sends Kira Brooks sailing onto her back and Franny gives the signal as though she's looking to end this. Fran leaps over Kira and comes back with the springboard crossbody just as she's getting to her feet! Roll through by Francesca and the crowd is seething as Fran grabs a handful of tights on the way through! 1… 2… 3-No! Kira angrily gets the shoulder up just as she needs to! Fran angrily smacks the mat three times as she looks right at the referee. Fran delivers a stomp to the back of Kira's head as she gets up and starts to argue with the ref. There is some laughter from the fans as Kira tries to sneak up on Fran a couple of times as she's arguing with the ref, yet only eats a face full of back elbow for her trouble. Fran finally turns around and easily blocks and sidesteps an open palm strike from Kira, doubling her over with a kick to the gut. Francesca takes a running leap to the middle of the top rope and springboards with Super Nova-No!!! Kira counters with a big lumbar check, before locking in Franny with the Badlands Lock!!! Francesca has no choice but to tap!!!

K.T. ANDERSON: SHE RUINED MY BRACKET!!!

MR. WRESTLING 3K: HUGE WIN HERE TONIGHT FOR KIRA BROOKS!!!

EARLIER TODAY...
The scene cuts in on Julianna DiMaria who is not in a good mood at all. As always, that bitter streak inside of her is really coming through her and when the camera comes on her, she wastes absolutely no time expressing her thoughts.

JULIANNA DIMARIA: "I have something that I have to get off of my chest… and I want the two IDIOTS on the commentary table to REALLY listen closely because this is directed at BOTH of them… especially YOU, K.T. Anderson. You see, I don’t know if you guys are coming up with your own material at the commentary table or if some guy in production is feeding you your bullshit, but either way, I’m not tolerating the crap you said after my last match anymore. For a guy who calls himself “Mr. Wrestling”, you’re sure stuck in the past, aren’t you? 'POST-CHAMPIONSHIP SLUMP!'"

"WHY are we STILL on that SHIT?"

"WHY?"

"WHY are we STUCK in 2018 and 2019? WHY are we bringing up OLD narratives that were stuck with OLD Julianna? Are you really lacking THAT much in talent there, “MR. WRESTLING”? If you know ANYTHING about wrestling… “sir”... you’d know that elsewhere… I’ve BROKEN that narrative of this “POST-CHAMPIONSHIP SLUMP”. I’ve got five words for you on that: Mariano Fernandez. Pinnacle Battle Royal. Do you know what winning that battle royal means, “MR. WRESTLING”? It means that I get a world title shot in that company… against my opponent tonight in Hammerstein… more on him in a bit."

"So… why don’t you take a DEAD NARRATIVE and shove it up to your ass, okay? If this entire company and the fans at home are lucky, when you shove that dead narrative up your ass, you’ll catch COVID from it!"

"Oh… and I haven’t even gotten STARTED on YOU, KT Anderson. You want to hide behind that commentary table and compare me to far and away from the most OVERHYPED, OVERRATED excuse of a wrestler on the roster? Do you want to throw THAT word at me? Do you want to say I have “no way of harnessing my potential”? Why don’t you come inside the ring and say that straight up to my face and see what happens? Or… better yet… why don’t I walk up to you and you can repeat those words? I’ll even unleash the Mistress of Demise on your sorry ass! If you EVER say that shit about me again, K.T. Anderson… I’ll snap your fucking neck I don’t give a SHIT if that gets me fired from here!"

Julianna takes a moment to calm down from what is clearly a heated moment for her. That bitterness upon hearing what she heard from the commentary table has completely lit an angry fire in her, one that burns more as she continues.

JULIANNA DIMARIA: "And yet… in ALL of your BULLSHIT, TMZ-slander style hubris, you forget that recently, in that tournament that Karen Willow won? I BEAT Hammerstein. I beat Hammerstein but POST CHAMPIONSHIP SLUMP! Yeah, that makes as much sense as the sorry ass journalism careers that you both got from your degrees at the University of FUCKING STUPID! How about I beat Hammerstein again so people like BOTH of you can shut the fuck up? Because that’s what I’m going to do! People like YOU don’t get to dictate what I am about in NVR or this business! People like YOU don’t get to label me! People like YOU don’t get to determine my narrative! When I beat Hammerstein, what you two are going to do is shut the fuck up and join us all in 2021, alright? Because I’ve HAD IT with people like YOU TWO treating me like I’m the same Julianna that was wrestling in Newly Geriatric Wrestling or Pathetic Portland Wrestling! That’s the last damn straw, not just with you two, but the narrative that just can’t seem to die in this company!"

"It WILL die tonight!"

"After tonight, the words POST CHAMPIONSHIP SLUMP will NEVER… EVER be attached to my name again, you got that? I FINALLY prove that I CAN carry a company… because believe me… this company is going to die the longer it’s centered around overrated nimrods like FAPP ADAMS!"

"I determine my narrative… not people like you two…"

"So take your outdated narrative about me and fuck each other up the ass, you got that? And that goes for ANYONE ELSE in NVR that is stuck in the past when it comes to me too!"

Julianna angrily leaves the scene, making it as clear as possible that she’s tired of old narratives and cliches being attached to her. There’s some shocking silence in the air as the scene fades out.

BACKSTAGE...
The show switches to the backstage area, and to "The American Monster" Jacob Hammerstein, who is leaning against the wall next to his dressing room door. His head is bowed and his arms are crossed.

HAMMERSTEIN: "Julianna DiMaria, you and I have been runnin' a pretty much parallel path towards the top. We've fought our asses off to get to where we are tonight, and here we are... fighting it out for the number one contender's spot to the NVR World Title."

Hammerstein unfolds his arms, his right hand encased in a cast. He holds his right hand up to the camera.

HAMMERSTEIN: "Oh, don't worry bout this. It's just a scratch. Listen, the fact that you're not in The Women's Summit tells me how big this match is to you. You've had a tough go of it for a while."

"I've been there.

"You've been tryin' to find the true you. You've been tryin' to find that fire inside, because you just haven't been the Julianna DiMaria that you used to be."

Hammerstein chuckles.

HAMMERSTEIN: "Hell, I've been there, too."

"There's things that can be said about our accomplishments up north... what's went down between us before and what's gonna go down between us in the future up there, but I'm not gonna."

"Like the old song says, 'Yesterday is dead and gone, and tomorrow's out of sight.'"

"All we got is tonight, Julianna, because for one of us, there is no tomorrow, not as far as the NVR World Title picture goes."

The American Monster shakes his head.

HAMMERSTEIN: "I've done a lot in this sport, a whole hell of a lot more than anyone believed I'd do. I've held World Championships on six continents. I've headlined some of the biggest shows in the history of this sport. I'm one of the most decorated fighters this sport has ever seen, and is likely to see."

Hammerstein sighs, then raises his head to look into the camera.

HAMMERSTEIN: "But none of that means a goddamn thing if I don't beat you tonight, Julianna, because The NVR World Championship is the one thing that has eluded me. I've been tryin' to find my place here since day damn one that I walked through the door. My place is standin' at the top of the mountain."

"I'm gonna fight to get there like my life depends on it, just like I know you will, too. Because it does...my life here in NVR depends on whether or not I can beat you. My place in this company depends on it."

The American Monster looks away from the camera. There's an almost desperate look in his eyes.

HAMMERSTEIN: "If I don't beat you tonight, though, then maybe I don't have a place here."

Hammerstein turns walks into his dressing room.

We don't even have to wait for a bell to sound as the NVR fans see The Scourge rush Hammerstein with a leaping forearm smash, staggering him before just about taking his head off when she spins around and dumps him to the canvas with a hard European uppercut. The fans voice their disapproval as DiMaria lays into Hammerstein with a series of stomps before dropping the elbows real quick. As Hammerstein is slow to get to his feet, Scourge is fast to check if the coast is clear before taking a run up and leaping into action with her patented handspring elbow. On the rebound, DiMaria doesn't get a chance to nail Hammerstein with the elbow shot as he catches her out of mid-air and then proceeds to hook her up with a pump handle backbreaker! Hammerstein hangs on tight to the pump handle, hauling Scourge back up and drilling her with an epic pump handle powerslam. Cover by Hammerstein, but kick out by DiMaria at 2! Hammerstein's series of pump handle moves have visibly taken their toll. Hammerstein hauls Scourge up to her feet and drills her with a brutal knife edge chop, dropping DiMaria to a knee, clutching her chest. Hammerstein hauls Scourge back up, yanks her head back and drills DiMaria with a downward chop, not letting her fall this time and sending her for an Irish whip. Pop up cutter attempt by Hammerstein, yet DiMaria surprises him by hitting a modified blockbuster to turn the tables! Springboard leg drop by DiMaria and a cover… 1… 2… Hammerstein with the arm up!!!

MR. WRESTLING 3K: These two have a high-profile rivalry that spans through multiple companies and they are leaving it all out in the ring tonight!

K.T. ANDERSON: Hammerstein is the measuring stick of a generation here, and I promise you Julianna doesn’t measure up!

DiMaria scowls as Hammerstein gets a shoulder up and she takes an arm and a handful of hair, trying to haul him up. Hammerstein gets the crowd on his side with a barrage of forearms shots to the midsection and an uppercut, staggering Scourge. Kick to the gut by Hammerstein, and he sends DiMaria sailing overhead with a bridging Hammerplex! Scourge looks to be dazed as Hammerstein easily hauls her to her feet for another one, yet this time, Julianna breaks free in mid-air and hits the ground running! Springboard by DiMaria, flying forearm smash is on target, taking Hammerstein down hard! The Scourge gives the signal as she sees the opening and Hammerstein finds himself in her patented Mercedes Bends (Bridging Fujiwara) real fast! Julianna DiMaria cranks hard on the hold and screams for Hammerstein to tap out, and for a moment it looks like he's going to, yet the NVR fans are on their feet as he gets his free hand to the bottom rope. DiMaria breaks the hold in disgust, stamping on Hammerstein's forehead for good measure as she gets up, taking Hammerstein with her and letting out a scream of frustration as she drills him with a European uppercut. Irish whip by DiMaria and she's clearly looking for her running shining wizard, yet Hammerstein once more has the fans on his side as he dodges out of the way and sends DiMaria flying with the POUNCE! Hammerstein is feeling this, and he throws out his trademark taunt as he drags DiMaria out of the corner and issues a knee to the gut. Hammerstein throws her arm over his shoulder and hauls Julianna up into position for the Hammerstei-No! The Scourge's legs flail before she lands on her feet. DiMaria with the go behind and the Dimaria Code for the… 1… 2… 3!!!

VALENTINA LOVELACE: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN... THE WINNER OF THIS MATCH... JULIANNA DIMARIA!!!

DiMaria stands tall over Hammerstein as her hand is raised. She celebrates for a moment, but Jacob Hammerstein gets to his feet and goes right into the face of Julianna. DiMaria looks posed for a brawl, but instead, Hammerstein just shakes her hand and rolls out of the ring. Julianna watches, as Hammerstein leaves over the barricade and out the fan exit, rather than going backstage. Julianna realizes that there was room for only one of them at the top, and because of that, he had to leave. Julianna quickly goes back to celebrating as the fans chant her name.

K.T. ANDERSON: NOOO!!! HAMMER COMEBACK!!! YOU CAN BLAME IT ALL ON ME!!!

MR. WRESTLING 3K: Julianna DiMaria with a HUGE win here tonight! She is now set up as the new #1 contender to the World Championship!!! I'm sure she's going to watch the headline match really closely now!!!

DURING THE BREAK...
The cameras pan in the crowd, slowly rolling over until the NVR fandom is treated to a sight never seen before. Tamsin is soon seen, although New York’s champion is without her Liberty Pro Championship belt. She’s donning a brand new Nachthexen shirt over her gear, and seems as if she’s found her own little section at the COVID thinned crowd. Her eyes don’t break as they are intently fixed on the ring. It may appear that the visuals from gorilla just aren’t good enough for her liking. She keeps a keen tab on the other matches and competitors for the Women’s Summit, not willing to miss a second of scouting.

Daya and Angel circle the ring to start. They give each other a very small show of respect with some nods, before going right into the tie-up. Daya is able to slip out and hits the ropes, trying to take the match to a high-octane level, but a drop-toe hold stops her momentum early. Angle starts to target the neck with a neck crank and some elbows to the neck. Daya is able to get free, and lands a springboard moonsault to try and turn the tide. She goes for a pump kick to the gut, but Angel catches it. Griffin throws the leg down, trying to get Daya to faceplant, but Matias turns it into a flip heel kick. That’s all she really gets though, as hits a dropkick to the knee and locks in a last chancery. Daya is able to escape at the last second by breaking Angel’s grip and starts to strike Angel, but a big European Uppercut protects Angel’s advantage. She drives Daya into the corner with a series of kicks before setting her onto the top rope. Daya boots angel away for a second and perches herself on that top turnbuckle so she can leap of- Angel with a big Dropkick! Daya goes flying to the outside and lands on the barricade! Angel hits a suicide dive, brings Daya back into the ring to hit her with a Righteous Vengeance spinebuster! Angel covers Daya for the 1… 2… Daya kicks out at 2.99!!!

K.T. ANDERSON: Angel Griffin is just obliterating Daya the way I wish the whole roster would beat on her brother!!!

MR. WRESTLING 3K: Daya needs to mount some sort of significant offense if she doesn’t want a repeat of last year.

Griffin continues to target the head and neck of Matias, culminating in a springboard DDT that makes Daya do a head stand. Matias’ only reprieve comes from a running senton she was able to avoid. Daya lands some big kicks that keep Griffin on one knee. She tries to capitalize with a step-up headscissors into a poisonrana, but Angel Griffin counters with a big electric chair drop! Angel calls for the end of the match, as she hits the ropes with a handspring looking for an Angel’s Grace, but Daya counters with a backstabber! Daya can’t capitalize, so she crawls to the ropes. She gets the crowd to rally behind her via clapping. She hits a tilt-a-whirl headscissors takedown, matrix dodges a lariat, and stuns Griffin with a big Pele kick. Matias goes to the top rope and hits a big block buster, but only gets a 2 count. Some shots are traded, but Daya lands a jumping knee that takes Griffin out. She goes to the top rope, and goes for her Leap of Faith moonsault, but Angel rolls out of the way. Daya is able to scout this and lands on her feet to transition into a back roll. Matias charges at Angel for a big dropkick, but eats a slingblade instead. Griffin gets behind Matias and locks in the Angel’s Wing crossface, but doesn’t get the body scissors. Daya rolls backwards for the 1… 2… Griffin releases, but Daya rebounds off the ropes to hit the Pay Day somersault cutter for the the final 1… 2… 3!!!

VALENTINA LOVELACE: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN... THE WINNER OF THIS MATCH... DAYA MATIAS!!!

MR. WRESTLING 3K: Daya Matias pulls the win here tonight on Day 2 of the Women's Summit!

K.T. ANDERSON: Man, I had $200 on Angel taking Daya out here!!! What gives!!!

The young Estrella listens to the crowd polarizing over Tamsin rather than her… And she took that personally. Tamsin lunges for a lock-up of some kind and Estrella just comes in with a wicked flying knee. Tamsin goes down in a heap, and Estrella covers 1… 2… The Manx Axe Murderer kicks out, but Rodriguez isn’t going to give her a second to breathe. She lands a running 360 Flip on Tamsin and follows it up springboard stunner. The crowd is wowed by Estrella, as she goes to the top rope and looks to end it all here. Estrella calls for her Estrella Caida tornillo, but Tamsin rolls out of the ring entirely and La Promesa crashes hard on the mat. Tamsin pulls Rodriguez out of the ring by her foot and lets her crash on the hard ring floor. Tamsin kneels over Estrella and begins to just deliver sickening strikes to the face of Rodriguez. Fisherman brainbuster by Tamsin onto the floor as she rolls her opponent back into the ring. Tamsin stumbles over to Estrella for the pin, but Estrella catches her with a small package for a 2 count. Both get back up to their feet and Tamsin goes for a rolling elbow to the back f the head, but Estrella looks back just in time and hits a split to avoid it. Estrella swings her leg around and lands a kip up into a hurricanrana. Tamsin is sent into the ropes, but she’s able to catch her footing and rebound with a big knee strike. The women get back to their feet, and Rodriguez tries to keep the pace at a high level, but the dirty brawling style of Tamsin hinders a lot of her momentum. At one point, Estrella goes for a springboard Satelite DDT, but Tamsin times a shove into the air at just the right time that she launches Rodriguez onto the top rope. A big running elbow by Tamsin to follow up and she stacks Estrella up for the 1… 2… The ref catches Tamsin putting her feet on the ropes and stops the count. As Tamsin fights with the referee, Estrella gets to her feet and hits a running basement elbow to the back of Tamsin’s leg. Sixx goes to a knee as Estrella pops to her feet and hits her Lucky Star neck breaker. Estrella scrambles for the pin 1… 2… 3NO! Tamsin kicks out. Estrella grabs both of Tamsin’s arms, but Tamsin is wiggling too much. Tamsin tries scooting the ropes, but finally, Estrella is able to lock in her Viendo Estrellas double bridging Fujiwara armbar. Tamsin gets a toe on the rope almost immediately to break the hold, but out of frustration, The Rising Star holds on for almost a full 5 count before letting go. Estrella goes to the corner one more time for the Estrella Caida, but Tamsin pops up and shoves her legs out from under her. Estrella crashes almost headfirst onto the top turnbuckle from the force and flips onto her knees in the corner, where Tamsin hits her with 6ixxShooter for the 1… 2… 3!!!

MR. WRESTLING 3K: Amazing match up here tonight. Definitely a first round favorite. Estrella Rodriguez showed a lot of skill here tonight, but Liberty Pro Champion Tamsin comes away with the win.

Dona rubs her chin, attempting to look like she was in deep thought. Her smirk however, was giving her away.

DONA ROTTEN: Yeah, yeah I won't put that "who's that card" tag champion, women's champion hopeful. Are we maybe getting a little greedy? Maybe, but that's alright, I'll play. I'm accustomed to this shit, I'm free, let's do this.

Dona slumps back against a nearby wall, her eyes drifting towards the camera. Her wicked smile growing ever larger as she does so.

DONA ROTTEN: Just don't bite off, more than you can chew. After all, I didn't get here, by under preparing. So, yeah, I'm coming in hot. Meanwhile, we got the Women's Summit going. Damn, I miss that, I'd of joined if I weren't holding this belt.

The Toxic Knockout sighs, memories of Summits past, seemingly rolling through her mind.

DONA ROTTEN: At this point, it's like my white whale. Ya know? Get so close, yet, in the end tank it. This year is different, I have summit fever! That's ok, though. I see some great talent, here. Blaise, Izzy, both Pandas. Then there's that big ass Aussie i fought last time, wouldn't mind another crack at that.

Dona winks, and shrugs her shoulders. Pausing momentarily, Rotten runs the list of competitors in her mind.

DONA ROTTEN: Oh, can't forget Campbell's Chicken Noodle. But, I'll level with y'all, as it stands right now, my money is on Izzy. That look in her eyes, when she showed back up. Big Iz is hungry! Only one way to know though, good luck ladies, give em hell.

With that Rotten signals for the feed to cut, and walks out of frame as the screen fades.

This match starts with an intense lockup between Anderson and Rotten with Dona finally gaining the upper hand with an arm wrench drilling Jess Anderson with a series of elbows before nailing her with a kick to the gut and trying for a DDT, but Jess manages to break away and Dona eats a face full of dropkick! And another! Dona manages to deflect a third attempted dropkick and reel, Anderson, in for a short-arm lariat, but Jess ducks just in time, gets the go behind and a standing Shiranui brings Dona down to the mat in a hurry. Running senton by Anderson, cover, and barely a two count with Rotten getting the shoulder up. Jess takes the arm and hauls Dona up to her feet. Spinning heel kick sees Rotten stumble back dazed, and Anderson is quick to follow up with a go behind and her patented Veneno, hooking the leg for a close count and Dona wearily gets the shoulder up. Jess seems frustrated as she nails Dona with a forearm to the face before getting to her feet and laying into her with stomps around the midsection, face, and head. Jess taunts the crowd and gets some heat as she issues a quick leg drop and tries for another cover, again only getting a two count. Jess Anderson lays a forearm across the Women's champion's throat, choking Dona as she holds her shoulders down on the mat. The ref gets to a four-count on the illegal manoeuvre before Anderson lets up!!!

K.T. ANDERSON: JESSICA ANDERSON JUST TRIED TO CHOKE A BITCH TO DEATH!!!

MR. WRESTLING 3K: HORRIFIC DISPLAY BY HALF OF THE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS HERE TONIGHT!!!

Jess drags Dona to her feet and sends her off for an Irish whip, and the crowd begins to perk back up as Dona ducks under the Ass Kisser attempt, continuing to hit the ropes and taking Anderson down with a running forearm smash! Dona gets down on the mat and delivers a harsh chop across the chest of Anderson before getting her into position for her patented dragon sleeper, yet Anderson isn't caught in it for long as the flexible model rears back and Pele kicks Rotten in the face! Rotten slumps down to her backside and Anderson quickly hauls her to her feet and drills Dona's head into the canvas with Stunned Silence! 1… 2… NO!!! Jess immediately sits up, furious at the referee as Dona gets the shoulder up amid the crowd being on their feet! Jess smacks her hands three times in his face in rhythm and yells something about a slow count. Meanwhile, the crowd BOOOs behind her, and Dona writhes around in agony as Anderson is deliberately standing on the side of her neck while distracting the ref. He finally sees it and angrily orders Jess off of Dona, and Anderson covers her mouth as if to say "oops" and proceeds to act innocent, the crowd really starting to grow tired of her antics. Jess drags the weary women's champ up by the collar of her ring gear and drills her with a forearm, causing her to stumble back. Kick to the gut but Anderson! Jess Anderson dragging Dona Rotten up by the hair and the crowd are wild as Jess plants a kiss on the lips of Dona! She grabs her up for Bonne Nuit-No! Dona is able to counter into the Punk-Plex and the cover… 1… 2… 3!!!

A pair of black, well-shined wrestling boots. Busy fingers weave black laces through eyelets, practiced to the point of reflex. The camera pedastals up to the Coventry Kaiju, Blaise Fader.

BLAISE: “One of my favourite tax-evaders said that. The more I hear it, the truer it gets. Bono, I think.”

The lens focuses into a wide shot - we’re in an empty locker room. No lights, save for a lonely, dim panel overhead. The rhythmic whooshing of the decorated Yūgen and APEX Wrestling star’s boot laces dominates our hearing, even as the murmur of a bustling venue thrums from beyond.

BLAISE: “You NVR lot have been hounding me from the moment this Women’s Summit was announced, from my first step off the twelve hour flight from Haneda Airport, from the second the check cleared - smart move, by the way - asking about my thoughts on the competition. My perspective on the state of women’s wrestling today.”

Blaise hasn’t made eye contact with the camera yet, her long blonde hair hanging down as her focus remains dead-set on lacing her boots.

BLAISE: “If you’d booked this around September of 2019, I might have had plenty to say on the subject. Encouragement and platitudes and putting the girls in the back over. And you - not you, mate, you look like you’ve never held a tit in your life, fuck a camera - would’ve smiled and nodded and said ‘good job Blezza, thanks for coming in’, without so much as a fucking afterthought about how empty it all really is.”

Blaise’s stare meets the camera dead-center now. She’s cold, uninviting. There’s a reason no one else is near her right now.

BLAISE: “You’ve all been waiting with bated breath on what I’ll say, and to what end? You’ve booked a tournament full of outsiders like me, who don’t know a thing about NVR, who don’t care to learn, who see gold at the end of the rainbow and will gladly step over the women who’ve worked show after show for this place just to catch their reflection in the shine.

“Imagine taking the table scraps you give these girls, just to lose a Twitter poll to a stranger by seventy-odd percent, and think they should proudly represent you while they get outgunned and outclassed. All that posturing, all that work, for what? NVR should consider itself lucky I don’t make it their problem.”

There’s one more synch left in Blaise’s boot. The laces dangle limply against their black tongue.

BLAISE: “If you wanted the Dople girl to get a good shine, you wouldn’t have made her the canary in the coalmine. Be grateful that I’ll try to make it quick. Be grateful that every foreseeable path to the end of this Summit leads to me taking it all. Be grateful that adding this to my long list of accolades saves you from having to stomach some kind of Hex Girl or social media influencer reaching the top of this fraught promotion.”

The laces are slipped and knotted right as a noose. Out of frame, a door opens, casting hallway warmth and noise on Blaise’s cold, pretentious spotlight. Blaise’s eyes meet the shadow of whoever looms in the doorway.

BLAISE: “Or anybody else, for that matter.”

Before the match, Jamie-Lyn and Lyndsy-James jumped Blaise, trying to get a leg-up on Coventry Kaiju. They take her down, and start to do a TikTok Dance, specifically because Blaise commented on it a few weeks ago. Fader comes to while they’re dancing and lifts Jamie-Lyn with a massive back suplex over the barricade. Blaise and LJ brawl up into the ring, and that’s when the match begins. Dople uses her speed advantage to avoid Blaise's strikes and even lands on her feet after getting caught by Fader and getting German suplexed. A series of superkicks by LJ takes Blaise down to a knee, and she follows up with a big leg-split ax kick. A bit of twerking in the splits by Lyndsy-James as she lets Blaise get back to her feet. Blaise eats a big bitch slap by LJ, but this just enrages Fader. Fader begins to batter Dople now, hitting her with a series of openhanded strikes, before lifting her and slamming her down with a Coventry Blitz. Lyndsy-James kicks out at 2, but Fader grabs her up for a big Saito Suplex, but again just another 2 count. LJ uses the ropes to get to her base as Fader charges, but Lyndsy-James is able to wrap her arms on the top rope and springboards off her chest. Hotshot stunner over the top rope by Dople, as she leaps off the top rope and hits a springboard rear-view. Fader is only staggered by this, so LJ hits the ropes and delivers one more that takes her down. Lyndsy-James pins Blaise for the 1… 2… Kickout!

MR. WRESTLING 3K: Blaise fighting the odds here, as Lyndsy-James continues to capitalize on her pre-match attack.

K.T. ANDERSON: Becoming a big fan of these Dople Twins. Lyndsy-James has the opportunity to pull off the upset of the century! That's some real RicHoez shit!!!

Lyndsy-James utilizes some underhanded tactics, to keep Blaise at bay, but the Coventry Kaiju isn’t afraid to dirty her hands either. LJ claws at Blaises face, but Blaise runs LJ’s face across the top rope. LJ grabs a big handful of hair and delivers some knees, but a big punch right to the tit by Fader followed by a sickening chop to the chest evens things out. Blaise goes for her Exocet boot, but Dople catches her with a wheelbarrow bulldog. Lyndsy-James goes to the second rope to call for her Selfie-Destruct super flip piledriver, but when she leaps off to mount Blaise, Fader is able to launch her off with a big back body drop that sends her flipping and landing onto the mat. Blaise Fader then hits the ropes and drills LJ with that Exocet running boot she missed earlier. She then hits the Bang to Rights piledriver, but before she can pin Lyndsy-James, Jamie-Lyn runs up onto the apron to distract the referee. Blaise gets to her feet and delivers a modified Enzu-European Uppercut to the side of JL’s head. In this time, Lyndsy-James is able to get back to her feet and leaps onto Blaise’s back. She locks in a sleeper hold and nearly takes Blaise down with it. However, Fader is able to muster some last-minute energy and hit a snapmare to remove her from her back. LJ rolls to her feet and runs at Blaise, but Blaise pops her up for a big powerbomb and transitions to the Godiva Lock in the center of the ring. It isn’t long before Lyndsy-James taps and Blaise is declared the winner.

K.T. ANDERSON: Damn, and here I thought I was gonna make a killing off of twin magic and an upset. I need a new bookie.

MR. WRESTLING 3K: Blaise fights through not one, but two women to get to the next round. She's looking to carve a path of destruction, and she doesn't care how many bodies she takes with her.

Dayna Grace walks into the frame admonishing the rookie interviewer. Grace prefers to stand on the other side of the shot.

GEMMA MARCHAND: Dayna you’re best known for your work as a tag team specialist in Euphoric with Caroline Clarke. Have you found that experience as a disadvantage considering the Women’s Summit is a one on one tournament?

DAYNA GRACE: First of all I just want to thank NVR Wrestling for reaching out to me with this opportunity to compete in the 2021 Women’s Summit. It’s a great honor to compete with such a high level of talent. But back to your question. Do I think it’s a disadvantage? No, I wouldn’t say that at all. I may be a part of a tag team but I know how to wrestle someone straight up...What kind of question is that? Is this your first day on the job?

GEMMA MARCHAND: As a matter of fact it is...

DAYNA GRACE: Well you’re doing a great job so far...

GEMMA MARCHAND: Why thank you...

DAYNA GRACE: You’re welcome but I was being sarcastic.

Dayna grabs the microphone straight from the grasp of Marchand's hand and she forces her to take a step back nearly out of the frame.

DAYNA GRACE: You should have asked that stupid question to Sheena Matlock after I sent her packing from the Women’s Summit in the first round! Or maybe Ricki Wilde in a couple of days when I beat her! Now she thinks her shit don’t stink and she’s God’s Gift to men but I’ve got a news flash for that bleach blonde bimbo! I am the best wrestler in this tournament, the sexiest woman on the planet and after tonight it will be the same story Miss Wilde, the same outcome with just a different victim. It’s time for this Summit to have a Euphoric Rising!

Grace spikes the microphone and begins pointing into the camera.

DAYNA GRACE: I’m coming for you, Ricki!

She walks out of the frame leaving Gemma Marchand to pick up the microphone and send it back down to ringside.

This match is fast-paced right from the get-go as Glitch and Super Tiger only circle for a short time before engaging in a tight lock-up. Glitch throws Tiger off course with a thigh kick before staggering her with a harsh European uppercut. Irish whip and Glitch look to be taking Tiger's head off with her spinning heel kick, yet Tiger lays down flat, rolls over, and kips up in front of Glitch, sending her flying with a Japanese arm drag. Glitch gets back to her feet and doubles Tiger over with a kick to the gut, looking for her flatliner, but the crowd really get behind ST as she blocks the movement and lays into Glitch with a flurry of open palm strikes before sending Glitch sprawling into the corner with a tilt a whirl headscissors whip and following up with a corner basement dropkick. Glitch looks out of it as ST snapmares her out of the corner and then lunges to the top rope, looking for a quick moonsault, yet Tiger bounces off the knees of Glitch as she pokes them up at the last possible second. Glitch is up in a flash, though, catching ST's arm as she goes to roll off. Glitch hauls ST to her feet and hits Core Breach! Tiger lands up high on her back and Glitch hooks the leg! 1… 2… No!!! Super Tiger gets the arm up!

K.T. ANDERSON: Last year we had an Alien and a Demon. This year we have what I can only assume is a TOTALLY badass cyborg. Women’s wrestling has come a long way!

MR. WRESTLING 3K: Indeed it has but don’t overlook Super Tiger. She was upset last year, and has come a long way as a competitor since then!

Glitch wastes no time moving over into the corner as Tiger rolls out to ringside and retrieves a bottle of water from beside the commentary desk, proceeding to douse herself. Meanwhile, Glitch had successfully removed the top turnbuckle pad without the referee knowing somehow. ST took a big gulp of the water as she rolled back into the ring, and she didn't even get a chance to drop it as Glitch rushes over and lays into her with strikes, kicks, and forearms. ST manages to block and she shoves Glitch back. Glitch leaps back even further as ST squirts water at Glitch several times. This forces Glitch to duck and weave as ST keeps up with her water bottle antics. ST's eyes widen as Glitch is somehow able to kick the bottle of water out of her hands and catch it! Tiger hits the deck from an impromptu Glitch spinning heel kick, and the fans burst into laughter as Glitch empties the contents of the bottle all over the torso and masked face of ST before laying into her with a series of stomps. Glitch hauls ST to her feet and attempts to hurl Tiger into the exposed turnbuckle from earlier, but ST has other ideas and in one swift maneuver, gets down and launches Glitch into the buckle via catapult! Glitch bounces off and ST hauls her up to her feet, stunning her with a forearm shot. Tiggy hooking the arm, she gets the go behind for the Starlight Express, but Glitch lands on her feet behind Tiger out of the suplex! Tiger is up on Glitch's shoulders now! Circuit Break-No, Tiger slips out! Tiger gets the double underhook and delivers the Berigoraundo! And the cover… 1… 2… 3!!!

MR. WRESTLING 3K: Big win here tonight by Super Tiger, despite that waterbottle debacle that happened during the match. I don't know if I approve of that whole thing...

K.T. ANDERSON: As we know, last year Super Tiger lost to the Korean Cyborg. As far as I'm concerned, this just makes her 1-1 against the robot community!

Suddenly Tapp comes out from backstage and walks over to the announcers table. He slams the NVR World Championship Briefcase on the table and snatches 3K’s headset.

K.T. ANDERSON: It seems like the REAL NVR World Champion has decided to bless us with his presence! Thank god. 3K was putting me to sleep already.

TAPP: Give me this you loser.

He shoves 3K out of the way and looks K.T. In the face.

TAPP: Do you see this K.T.? Do you see this travesty? I’m not booked. AGAIN. I’m the REAL NVR WORLD CHAMPION! AND I'M NOT BOOKED! I AM NVR! I won nine end of the year awards.

3K leans into the headset.

MR. WRESTLING 3K: Actually one of those was m-

Tapp shoves 3K away yet again.

TAPP: No one asked you. And no one cares. What we care about right now is the fact that I don’t have a match. Instead we’re stuck watching sub par performers put on sub par matches. Caleb Jackson is hindering the REAL champion by keeping him off tv. He’s done nothing but try and hold me back for months now and I’m sick of it. Time and time again I’ve carried this company. Show after show. And this is how I’m repaid. No one does what I do for this company and that’s common knowledge. No one outside of company walls respects this place and the blame falls on two people. The pseudochamp, Karen Willow and the people that put her there, namely Caleb Jackson. And I want to have a face to face with him on the next show in the middle of the ring so I can address these grievances. And I won’t take no for an answer.

TWFKA Tapp Addams removes the headset and tosses it to Mr. Wrestling 3K. He then climbs on top of the announcers table and holds his briefcase high above his head before hopping down and returning to the back

The bell rings for our main event, and oddly enough it’s Arley Kirk that’s running up trying to catch Emma Douglas off-guard. Speedy strikes and ducking the mighty swings of Emma allows Kirk to slowly drive Douglas into the corner. Big kicks to the legs of Douglas takes her to a knee and Kirk runs all the way across the ring, looking for a full-speed handspring enziguri, but Douglas explodes out of the corner and hits Pounce on Kirk while she is mid flip, sending her crashing on her head in the center of the mat. 2 count, but the crowd thought it was 3 honestly. Douglas begins to lay into Kirk now with strikes, only stopping to lift her by the throat and chokesla-No! Kirk turned it into a big DDT! Kirk kips up and runs the ropes to deliver a missile dropkick to the back of the head of Emma. Juice Box Serenade lands perfectly, but Kirk is still in survival mode. She scales the turnbuckles and leaps off with Tiger Grace, but nobody is home! Emma Douglas rolls to her feet and watches as Arley uses the ropes to stand. Big splash into the ropes by Douglas, as she begins to initiate the ChimeraPlex. She hits the German and the Tiger suplexes, but Arley can slip out of the Dragon suplex last second. She drops into a back roll body-scissors, wheelbarrows up, and rolls Emma up with a Victory Roll into a double foot stomp! Arley jumps until she gets the height she needs for a “standing” 450 and the cover 1… 2… Emma Douglas presses Kirk completely off her body!!!

K.T. ANDERSON: BIG DADDY EMMA CONTINUES TO CHOOSE VIOLENCE!!! I LOVE IT!!!

MR. WRESTLING 3K: Arley Kirk is in the middle of a David vs Goliath showdown, and she seems to have found her slingshot in her speed! Hopefully, she can pull off the biblical victory here tonight!

Kirk goes back to the speed striking, but unlike at the beginning of the match, Emma’s strikes do land. She picks Kirk up and runs her back first into the corner. Some shoulder thrusts follow up for good measure before she places Arley on the top rope… and shoves her off so that she falls all the way to the ringside floor! Arley lands in a heap as Emma wipes her hand. The referee begins to count Kirk out, but at the count of 7 Kirk seems to be on her feet. Douglas dives through the ropes with a suicide dive, but Arley ducks underneath her and runs into the ring herself. Rebound off the ropes and a big springboard tornillo onto Douglas by Kirk. Arley hypes the fans up as she brings Emma back into the ring. Arley keeps Douglas off her feet with a series of kicks, splashes, and 2 counts, but she just can’t seem to keep the Mistress of Mayhem down for 3. Kirk lands the Tiger Grace, but still, she only gets a 2 count pin attempt. She pulls Emma up for the AK-95, but Emma rolls out of it and backdrops Arley. Arley lands on her feet and hits the ropes, but gets caught with Bedlam! Kirk tries to get to her feet, but Emma Douglas follows up with her curb stomp known as Facial Reconstruction! Kirk is out cold, but Emma picks her up for the Douglas Devastation Driver into the turnbuckle and the pin for the 1… 2… 3!!!

The Headline bout begins with Karen and Riley circling the ring, just for Savell to go to the outside the moment Willow tries to engage. Riley runs away every time Karen tries to do a suicide dive or baseball slide out of the ring. Karen times a Triangle moonsault to the outside that catches Riley as she rounds a corner. Karen and Riley break into a brawl as Willow picks the challenger up. Riley whips Karen into the barricade, but Karen springboards off the barricade with a disaster kick! Riley stumbles as Karen throws her into the ring. Karen charges at Riley, but Savell catches her last second with a hurricanrana into a triangle armbar. Karen is able to kick her legs up to hook Riley into a pin attempt, but Riley kicks out at a soft 2. Both women are back to their feet as they trade strikes and tie-ups. Karen goes for Bloody Sauce, but can’t get the second arm locked, as Riley shoots behind her and drills her with a Mocking Jay german. Big shining wizard from Savell as Karen tries to get up, but she only gets a 2 count from the pin. Riley goes to the corner and climbs to the top rope, she doesn’t get a chance to leap through, as Karen rolls out of range. Karen runs at Riley as she gets to the mat, but Riley counters her with an overhead belly to belly suplex into the corner. Savell with the Savell stomp and a big alligator pin for the 1… 2… 3-No! Karen gets the shoulder up!!!

MR. WRESTLING 3K: The World Champion gets her arm up at just the last second!!! I almost can’t believe it!!!

K.T. ANDERSON: I DON’T BELIEVE IT, 3K!!! THAT WAS CLEARLY 3, AND MY FUTURE EX-WIFE RILEY SAVELL SHOULD BE CHAMP-CHAMP RIGHT NOW!!!

Riley takes her frustrations with the ref out on Karen with numerous kicks and stomps towards the head, neck, and face. Karen begins to fight back and lands a Wolf Claw across the face of Riley. Riley stumbles to the ropes, and Karen goes for a Wolf Fang Fist, but Riley ducks the shot and low bridges the top rope. Karen falls onto the apron as Riley hits the ropes and slams the World Champion onto the outside floor with a sunset powerbomb. Riley pulls Karen up and drills some knees into her face before throwing her back into the ring and pinning her for a 2 count. Willow barely gets the arm up, as Riley stands up and begins to deadlift her into a powerbomb, but Karen is able to stiffen herself to make it too hard for Riley to lift her. Riley releases her, rolling Karen to her knees and going for a big knee, but Karen rolls out of the way and into a schoolgirl pin… 1… 2… Riley kicks out. They get to their feet at the same time and trade a few stiff chops. Riley catches Willow’s fist and whips her into the rope, but Karen takes off and hits a FUCK IT crossbody when she rebounds. Karen gets to her feet first and delivers a Spirit Bomb to Savell. She pins her for the 1… 2… 3-No! Riley kicks out at 2.99! Karen hypes the fans up and drills Riley with the Wolf Fang Fist for the 1… 2… 3!!!

Karen gets her hand raised, but before she can even celebrate appropriately, Blaise Fader comes from nowhere and drops her with a big forearm to the back of the head. Blaise drills Karen with the Bang to Rights piledriver. That's when Tapp comes out with his briefcase in hand. He runs to the ring and tries to cash in, but Izzy Van Doren runs down to make the save. She superkicks the briefcase out of Tapp's hands and begins to brawl with Blaise for a moment. Tapp is trying to figure out what went wrong when Karen comes from nowhere and drills him with a Wolf Fang Fist that drops him. Blaise bails and pulls Tapp out of the ring with her. Poor Life Choices lean on the ropes, shouting at Tapp and Blais, but the two heels just walk away as if nothing had happened.
