The fans have been waiting for what feels like an extra month just for this show, and therefore are RAVENOUS for NVR content. A quick scan of the fans shows things like "BRING BACK TAPP", "WHERE IS DAYA?", and "SIT ON ME, JD". The anticipation here in Schitt's creek has reached its crescendo as they begin to chant for NVR Wrestling. Suddenly, “Mad Hatter” Melanie Martinez as the new NVR San Francisco Openweight Champion opens the show for the first time since winning the title back at No Masters. The crowd erupts for Warhead Williams' favorite up-and-comer as she walks to the ring cooly and calmly. She already has a microphone in hand. She lays her SFO title at her feet and looks around at the fans in attendence. DANI DAVIES: I don't stand before you as a competitor. I don't even stand here as a challenger. Today, I stand before you as a CHAMPION!!! Instntly the fans begin to cheer for this. DANI DAVIES: Many will tell you that I've got big shoes to fill and big shadows to grow out of... but anyone who says that, doesn't know who I am. I don't fill shoes. I don't get shadows cust upon me. Whether it's my public life or my private life, I don't allow other people to dictate MY measures and MY limits. I don't care who held this belt before me. I don't even care about who creagted this belt. All I care about is continuing my career, my legacy, and my success. She takes a moment to look down at her title. DANI DAVIES: Sadly, that's all anyone wants to ask me though. "How are you going to top Enforcer's reign", "How are you going to build upon A.J. Morales' legacy". However, none of that matters to me. I don't need to top Cross' reign, I beat him. That's how I topped it. I don't need to build someone else's legacy, his belt needs to be building mine. I am not a quality loss someone can just claim for clout. I am not just a champion for someone else's sake. That's what winning this belt should mean, and that's not what being a champion is about. One more dramatic pause from Dani as she continues to stare at the San Francisco Openweight Championship. DANI DAVIES: I refuse to be the champion of someone else's vanity project... and therefore... I DENOUNCE THIS BELT!!! Dani stomps on the center of the San Francisco Title belt until the bejeweled 49ers symbol is broken on the belt. She then kicks the belt out of the ring and the crowd gasps in the shock of all of this. DANI DAVIES: I'm not carrying a belt that's going to be forever tied to other people. I'm not sharing my championship with anyone other than myself. So, from here on out... Dani waves for a ring hand to hand her something. DANI DAVIES: I'm going to be the GOLDEN WEIGHT CHAMPION!!! The ring-hand gives Dani her new belt. It has a big gold Golden Gate bridge on it, and lots of clear gems in the background. Dani raises it high in the air to a chorus of cheers, as all of the NVR Faithful are excited for this new era in the Openweight Division. Dani smirks as her music plays and we fade from the introduction scene. |

She walks up to a giant spotlight in the center of the stage and swings her hips before posing. Lena Spice walks down to the ring, ignoring the fans along the way. Lena gets to ringside and slides across the apron, before springing up and spinning herself through the ropes. She struts to the center of the ring and poses as she waits for her music to stop. VALENTINA LOVELACE: And her opponent... YOU MAKE ME VICIOUS The opening line of Vicious by Halestorm plays as the lights all turn red. The first verse continues as a spotlight shines on the stage. The chorus hits and so does Siobhan Mahoney as she steps into her spotlight. She poses at the top of the stage, bending a knee and throwing an arm up so that people can ogle even more of her. She walks down to the ring with the spotlight following her and hears only cheers for herself despite there not being any. The Hot Mess walks up the steps and across the apron posing on the ropes while demanding the referee to open them for her. The referee reluctantly obliges and Siobhan skips to the center of the ring, before pointing to herself and letting everyone know she deserves greatness. The spotlight and her music stop, but Siobhan is still all about herself as she waits for the match to start. VALENTINA LOVELACE: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN... THE WINNER OF THIS MATCH... VIA PINFALL... SIOBHAN MAHONEY!!! Mahoney is glad to be back in winning ways as she stands triumphantly over her rival. She demands her hand be raised as she wipes some blood from her nose. K.T. Anderson is at the commentary booth applauding Siobhan, but Mahoney pretends it’s the whole venue cheering for her in her victory here tonight!!! WARHEAD WILLIAMS: Lena Galante gets hoisted by her own petard and Siobhan is able to capitalize! Great showing by both women until they started cheating! K.T. ANDERSON: SIOBHAN I LOVE YOU!!! |

VALENTINA LOVELACE: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THIS IS A TAG TEAM MATCH!!! FIGHT!!!
FIGHT!!!
FIGHT!!! VALENTINA LOVELACE: Introducing first... “Not Once, Not Ever, No Way” "I WON'T GO DOWN WITHOUT A FIGHT! I WON'T GO DOWN WITHOUT A FIGHT!" The music kicks through the PA as Kai steps through the curtain. He’s all smiles, but it’s just the calm before the storm. He pulls his mouthguard from his vest pocket and puts it in. The switch is flipped and Kai steps down the aisle quickly to the ring. VALENTINA LOVELACE: "Coming down the aisle: From Jacksonville, FL; he weighs in 177 lbs, Kai URIGAAAAWAAAAA!!!" Kai hops up onto the apron hard cam side, looks over his shoulder at his opponent, and enters the ring. Urigawa takes off his vest and falls into the corner, doing some last-minute stretching. VALENTINA LOVELACE: And his tag team partner… TJS appears on the screen. Each letter fades in and out before the other appears as the intro plays. The lights dim slightly aside for a trio of lights which, you guessed it, shine TJS onto the roof of the building or down onto the ring. TJS appears from behind the curtain with his back to the crowd but spins to stand facing them, legs wide apart, and embraces the crowd. Throwing out a t-shirt to one of the crowd members rampside earns him a pop before he starts to walk down the ramp. TJS raises a finger, then sings with the crowd the opening lyrics to his theme. Begin the day With a friendly voice A companion, unobtrusive Plays that song that's so elusive And the magic music makes your morning mood TJS grabs the ropes with the small instrumental break and spins to hook the top rope and face the ramp. Off on your way Hit the open road There is magic at your fingers For the spirit ever lingers Undemanding contact In your happy solitude As that riff hits, TJS backflips into the ring and walks around the ring, the lights dimming down to an almost darkened state as the fans' screens light the arena with purple, pink, blue, and red bright screens. TJS then performs a running shooting star press and lands on his feet, pretending it was unseen but the house lights come back on bright just a second after he lands. TJS nods his head to the rest of the song. Even as it fades out, the loyal NVR fans sing it loud and proud with TJS conducting them with one hand. VALENTINA LOVELACE: And their opponents... Trumpets blast throughout the arena as TANK by the Seatbelts play. The arena fills with cheers as Naoki Ojima makes his way out, accompanied by his father, Reo Ojima. Both sporting ONI jackets, Naoki waves to the crowd, but Reo stops him and points to the ring. They quickly make their way to the ring, and Naoki rolls inside and stands in the middle of the ring. Reo rolls in too and lights a cigar before they both raise their right hands in the air as streamers fill the ring. Stepping back Naoki takes his jacket off and tosses it outside while Reo ashes his cigar. VALENTINA LOVELACE: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN... THE WINNER OF THIS MATCH... VIA PINFALL… NAOKI OJIMA AND REO OJIMA... ONI!!! Anthony Cross enters the ring and continues to attack TJS, as Oni targets Kai!!! Teddy tries to fight back, but having just wrestled a whole match, he doesn’t get much defense or offense in. Reo has Kai held back as Naoki is drilling strikes into his gut when suddenly AC/DC can be heard… AND NO HOMIE COMES RUNNING DOWN THE RAMPWAY!!! He runs up to ringside and leaps onto the apron. Naoki turns around to strike him as The Roofless One springboards off the top rope and hits a high cross body on The Emerald Tiger!!! Reo throws Kai down and tries to throw a punch, but gets caught with a roundhouse that catches him right in the temple. Oni rolls out as No Homie gets full steam and charges at Cross, hitting a Soleless Survivor that sends Enforcer over the top rope. Oni and Cross regroup to the outside as No Homie help Kai and Teddy back up to their feet. A staredown between the six men goes down. K.T. ANDERSON: NO HOMIE HAS RETURNED AND THE TWO MAFIA BOSSES HAVE JOINED FORCES!!! WARHEAD WILLIAMS: WHAT A VOLATILE SCENE WE HAVE HERE!!! |

We see Brody with his newly won CWGC Hollywood Forever Title, as he's in a fairly festive Hawaiian shirt, sunglasses and jeans, despite him having a match soon against Squiggles the Clown, as the belt is over his shoulder.
BRODY HOWITZER: "Hello, audience. Recently, I had made history, winning my first title in the business, and proving to the world that this isn't just some phase between jobs. No, I'm a legit star that does his own stunts! And while your boy is blessing the wrestling fandom, I'm also making big sacrifices to my career..."
He said, before hamming it up and lowering his shades a bit for some seriousness.
BRODY HOWITZER: "I've had to turn down movie roles to keep this title reign a-going, so no. There isn't going to be a Crocjaw 2. Instead, I'm in a match against Squiggles the Clown... and let me tell you something, boys and girls... hate clowns. Ever since I was six and a clown blew a big puff of cigar smoke in my face, I knew I would never tolerate these hacks to entertainment! This goofball has run into the wrong guy, and to quote esteemed actor, Adam Sandler... You're gonna die, clown!"
He said with a snap of his finger as he pointed at the camera with a shit-eating grin on his face, before tilting his glasses back up and heading to the ring while we fade out.

BRODY HOWITZER

SQUIGGLY THE CLOWN VALENTINA LOVELACE: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THIS MATCH IS SCHEDULED FOR ONE FALL!!! ONE FALL!!! VALENTINA LOVELACE: Introducing first... The tempo of "Journey to the Center of the Mind" would pick up gradually, as Brody makes his way to the top of the ramp and holding a kendo stick in the "This is my Boomstick!" pose, before pointing it at the crowd as he makes his way to the ring after some stagehand rolls out some red carpet for him to walk, as he enters the ring ready to make some art. VALENTINA LOVELACE: And his opponent... "Grease Paint and Monkey Brains" by White Zombie starts to play we see the lights dim down. After the intro we see Squiggly come out from the back sporting a pig mask with clown makeup smeared over it. A large oversized tie rests over his ring attire as he approaches the ramp. He pulls a match from behind his ear and strikes it before lighting his tie. Firecrackers begin popping as Squiggly begins to tremble, almost seizure-like. The smoke clears as Squiggly continues shaking his head, twitching and shaking his arms as he heads towards the ring. Squiggly comes to the edge of the ring where he ditches his tie and rolls in under the ropes. He stands up before he begins circling the ring, looking out at the crowd. He rips the mask from his face and lets out a deep belly laugh as he twitches and scratches at his bald, tattooed head. VALENTINA LOVELACE: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN... THE WINNER OF THIS MATCH... VIA PINFALL… BRODY HOWITZER!!! Brody gets his hand raised as he throws a fist in the air. Brody looks like he’s about to accept an Oscar with how excited he is to get a win in NVR, but the music plays him off in his head. He starts to leave the ring, but that's when he sees something pink laying on the mat… SQUIGGLY’S TONGUE!!! Brody and Jeff the Ref FREAK OUT as Squiggly slowly comes too and realizes the same thing his opponent and the referee realize. Squiggly screams for 2 seconds, before bursting out laughing, as he reveals it was just a gag tongue for pranks! Everyone laughs as Squiggly grabs the gag tongue and drops it in his tights. K.T. ANDERSON: Even in defeat, Squiggly gets the literal last laugh!!! WARHEAD WILLIAMS: What a match! Imagine if these two fought in an actual death match! Things to keep in mind for Lovers in a Dangerous time I suppose!!! |

BACKSTAGE...
We find Mimi Smith hugging her arms in a grey sweatshirt top unzipped to show off her plain black t-shirt. Her twin on the other hand is very much enjoying the two win lead she has, in a red sweatshirt top and black jeans. Both twins have matching chuck taylor sneakers, though Bree's are about two sizes bigger than Mimi's.
BREE SMITH: Sup, Mimi.
As Mimi casually sees Bree's new hat sporting the current score and narrows her eyes.
MIMI SMITH: New hat?
BREE SMITH: Nah. I recycled one of my Millennium hats into this one. Although after I get through Kira Brooks, I'll have to update it to three.
Mimi kicks off the locker she was resting against and walks past her sister looking up as she does.
MIMI SMITH: Whatever. I just want this series to be over with.
Bree looks over her shoulder at her sister here, then turns to face her.
BREE SMITH: Because I'm getting an early lead? Schitttt Mimi, don't be so glum. Dona's gonna run right through you if you just walk in giving up.
MIMI SMITH: Yeah that's what you're expecting to happen though. So let's just get this next round over with. I wish Derrick was still allowed here…
Mimi says walking past her sister and straight to the door with Bree standing there unsure what to do.

As En Route To Mayhem by Apocalyptica plays, the music rolling out over the room, from the back emerges Kira Brooks, determination in her steps as she moves down the ramp towards the ring. She pauses at the ring steps to look out over the fans in attendance and she throws her hands up into a signal for them, a big smile on her pretty face. She pauses to wipe her boots on the apron before ducking between the ropes, lingering a bit before moving on into the ring, her expression focused and eager as she waits for the match to begin. VALENTINA LOVELACE: And her opponent... Don’t Stop by 5 Seconds of Summer begins to play in the arena and we see Bree’s name flash on the screen. She darts out of the back in a pair of dark denim jeans with a loose hanging NVR shirt one size too big for her. Bree gives the crowd a few nods and peels off the covering on her shirt that turns it from a standard NVR shirt into a “Bree's NVR House” shirt before she walks down to the ring with her arms behind her back, skipping once she’s halfway down the ramp and ends with a perfect slide into the ring. Once she’s on her feet Bree gives a little twirl to a pose where her feet are a shoulder's length apart and her hands flat out with a complimenting smirk to say "Come on". VALENTINA LOVELACE: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN... THE WINNER OF THIS MATCH... VIA PINFALL… KIRA BROOKS!!! Brooks pops up to her feet as she throws her hands in the air. Steph the Ref hands her back her NVR World Championship Opportunity Briefcase. She rolls out of the ring slowly and gingerly hi-fives and interacts with fans as she gets to her feet. As she heads to the back, Bree Smith starts to get to her own feet. She looks out to the titantron and watches as her Twin Series record goes from 2-0 to 2-1. She starts to get mad but cools herself off by reminding herself she’s still in the lead. She angrily drops to the mat and rolls out of the ring, trying to avoid making eye contact with her sister, scheduled to come out next. WARHEAD WILLIAMS: Bree Smith suffers her first loss in the Series with her sister, but it’s against one of the fastest rising stars in NVR, so this is nothing short of a quality loss!!! K.T. ANDERSON: Meanwhile Mimi is getting ready to take her 3rd “quality loss” in a row… |

The Toxic Knockout finally let's her eyes pan across the ringside area, before spitting a thick green mist skyward. Rotten cackles maniacally, and goes to her corner, to await the matches start. VALENTINA LOVELACE: And her opponent... The Game by Alyssa Reid begins to play in the arena and we see Mimi’s name flash on the screen. She darts out of the back in a pair of dark denim jeans with a loose hanging NVR shirt one size too big for her. Mimi gives the crowd a few nods and peels off the covering on her shirt that turns it from a standard NVR shirt into a “Mimi's NVR House” shirt before she walks down to the ring with her arms behind her back, skipping once she’s half way down the ramp and ends with a perfect slide into the ring. Once she’s on her feet Mimi gives a little twirl to a pose where her feet are a shoulder's length apart and her hands flat out with a complimenting smirk to say "Come on". VALENTINA LOVELACE: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN... THE WINNER OF THIS MATCH... VIA SUBMISSION… MIMI SMITH!!! Mimi almost can’t believe it, as she lets go of Dona’s limp body and gets to her knees. Her first win in quite some time. She takes a moment to enjoy watching that 0 in her win column turn to a 1. All of a sudden Don’t Stop by 5 Seconds of Summer plays and Bree comes out. She raises two fingers high in the air, signaling that she still has the lead in their first-to-five series. Mimi raises her one and yells out that she’s not done yet. The two twins/rivals stare each other down with their respective wins still being held up. WARHEAD WILLIAMS: Mimi now has closed the gap between her and Bree to just a one-point deficit now! K.T. ANDERSON: BREE WINS THE SERIES OR WE RIOT!!! |

I-V-D!!! VALENTINA LOVELACE: Introducing first, the challenger... The lights in the arena go dark as Valhalla" by Blind Guardian begins to play. A massive figure walks through the curtain to a chorus of boos. On the screen, The Australian Behemoth flashes quickly followed by the rune of the god Odin. The lights slowly fade in as Danela Alans are revealed and her name appears on the screen in dripping blood. Danela sneers at the crowd while she stomps her way to the ring. When she reaches the apron she grasps the top rope and pulls herself into the ring. Danela gives a wry smile as she draws a line in the sand and does a massive stomp in the middle inviting her opponent to battle. She lets out a war cry as her music fades. VALENTINA LOVELACE: And the champion... Izzy comes out of the curtain bumping to her music. She rips open her vest, throws her head back, and poses at the top of the ramp. She smiles and smirks with the fans chanting "Izzy, Izzy, Izzy". Upon reaching the threshold wear the ramp meets the ring mat, Izzy bites her lip, winks to the camera, and slides into the ring. She pops up to her feet and heads to the hard cam side of the ring. She slides her torso in between the top and middle rope. She smiles and throws her arms open forming the horns with her hands. Izzy's eyes widen and her smile looks a little more crazed. She pulls back and looks on at her opponent eager to get down. VALENTINA LOVELACE: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN... THE WINNER OF THIS MATCH... VIA DISQUALIFICATION… DANA ALANS… BUT STILL NVR WOMEN’S CHAMPION… IZZY VAN DOREN!!! Izzy looks at Danny with shock. MacNamara stands up and motions for a microphone. Izzy keeps asking him “what the hell his problem is”, but he just ignores her until he gets his live mic. DANIEL MACNAMARA: First and foremost… I’m not back… Izzy rolls her eyes because she already knew that. DANIEL MACNAMARA: I’m not here for this company. I’m not here for you. I’m not even here for HERHe points to Dana, who has been speared to hell for a second time by Danny. DANIEL MACNAMARA: No, no… I’m here for her… He points to the entrance as “All The Things She Said” - Poppy plays. The crowd erupts even more than they already have been the moment Karen Willow walks out. She takes her time walking to the ring, hi-fiving fans as Izzy looks even more confused. Karen finally makes it into the ring and Danny gives her his mic. KAREN WILLOW: Isn’t this fun… all of us together in this ring again. Poor Life Choices together for the first time in almost two years. Gotta love it. The crowd cheers as Izzy starts asking what this is all about. KAREN WILLOW: Izzy, you’re my best friend, my mentor, my idol. I know I could just ask you for a match and you would just hand it to me, but that’s not really fun is it? Izzy raises an eyebrow as Karen continues. KAREN WILLOW: While I was busy being World Champion and taking on every person that walked out in front of me, you’ve blown through everyone in the women’s division. We both know the whole division is depleted and there’s not many more names left for you to face before we start getting Lombardi vs Van Doren 3, a Siobhan Mahoney title shot, or a Dana Alans rematch which nobody wants… She looks to Dana, who’s rolled out of the ring now and is heading to the back. KAREN WILLOW: So why don’t you REALLY test yourself. I don’t have a match for the 50th Show, and you don’t have a challenger, SO WHY NOT FACE ME??? If you’re the heart of NVR, I’m the soul. If you’re the greatest, I’m the best. If you’re the Alpha, I’m the Omega. I could go for the R!ZE title and just try to tie your triple crown route, but instead, I’d rather just BEAT YOU FOR THAT AND PROVE I AM THIS COMPANY NOW!!! Izzy takes a moment, looks at her title, and accepts Karen’s challenge. Karen nods and drops her mic as she and Danny turn around. As they go to exit the ring, Izzy grabs the mic. IZZY VAN DOREN: KAREN! One more thing before you go… after I beat you… I’m hanging this title in the rafters and retiring it, because if you can’t beat me… nobody can. Izzy raises her title high in the air as Karen smirks and PLC all exits the ring going in different directions. WARHEAD WILLIAMS: WHAT A BLOCKBUSTER MATCH THAT JUST GOT MADE BEFORE OUR EYES!!! K.T. ANDERSON: WE’RE GETTING A PLC REUNION IN THE NEW YEAR? I LOVE IT, EVEN IF I DON’T LOVE THEM!!! |

A week before the NVR Event: Gemma's PSL, we find Gemma Marchand in the restaurant of the Carlyle Hotel in New York City.
GEMMA MARCHAND: While most of the NVR roster is preparing to head to Schitt's Creek, Ontario, Canada later this week I am here this afternoon at the beautiful Carlyle Hotel in Manhattan for a sit-down interview with former San Francisco Openweight Champion, Anthony Cross, who will be joining me momentarily.
Anthony casually walks into the room with a half-full bottle of water. The restaurant employee points towards where Gemma is and Anthony walks towards Gemma. Gemma stands up and she shakes hands with Anthony. Both Gemma and Anthony sit down in chairs across from each other.
GEMMA MARCHAND: Thank you for joining me today, Anthony.
ANTHONY CROSS: Glad to be here, Gemma.
GEMMA MARCHAND: I would like to just jump right in, Anthony. How are you doing? Where is your head at since losing the San Francisco Openweight Championship in a grueling match to Dani Davies?
ANTHONY CROSS: Obviously, I am never a fan of losing a match, much less a championship match and a championship I worked so very hard to hold for six months. But as I have stated before, if Dani was able to beat me straight up, which she did, then I would tip my hat to her. Which she obviously did.
GEMMA MARCHAND: Hence the handshake following the match between the two of you?
ANTHONY CROSS: Exactly, Gemma. As much as she may detest the fact that I am putting her over in any way, the fact remains she is a hell of a young talent and has a bright future for herself in this business.
GEMMA MARCHAND: Since then you were in a hard-fought Death Match at Halloween Horror Fights 3 with Darby Macnamara, nearly walking away with the win there.
ANTHONY CROSS: It took me until just recently...I would say almost a full month after the Death Match to finally heal up following that match but it was indeed a great feeling to have that feud behind me.
GEMMA MARCHAND: I’m sure it was. Now, we've got to wonder what exactly is next for you here in NVR?
ANTHONY CROSS: That is indeed the million-dollar question, Gemma, and a question I have asked myself hundreds of times over the last couple of months.
GEMMA MARCHAND: Have you been able to determine anything?
ANTHONY CROSS: I can honestly go in a million different directions. I have probably changed my mind so many times and no, for all you haters, it isn’t because I am doing my best Terry Funk, middle-aged and crazy impression. I am not there just quite yet.
GEMMA MARCHAND: So, where exactly are you?
ANTHONY CROSS: As I just said, there are so many possibilities. I can attempt to get the San Francisco Openweight championship back. Do I find myself a partner and attempt to go after the Tag Team Titles? Maybe I set my sights on the R!ZE Championship? Or I can just take some time away from NVR and let these young, hungry men and women who are trying to make a name for themselves in NVR and this business battle it out? Or maybe I say fuck it, throw the gauntlet down, and bet it all on myself and go after the NVR World Championship?
GEMMA MARCHAND: It appears you are at quite a stalemate within yourself, Anthony?
ANTHONY CROSS: Very much so, Gemma. But whatever I decide to do and whenever I decide to let the world know what my intentions are I’ll make a statement.
GEMMA MARCHAND: I have no doubt you will. Anthony, thank you for joining me today.
ANTHONY CROSS: Glad to be here. I look forward to seeing what will happen at your Pumpkin Spice Life later this week.
Anthony stands up and sticks his hand out to shake Gemma’s hand. Gemma looks up and shakes Anthony’s hand.
GEMMA MARCHAND: Thank you.
Anthony walks away and out of the Carlyle Hotel restaurant.

When the first verse hits, JD Driftwood bursts from the curtain. He waves his arms trying to get the fans hyped, before standing at center stage and banging his head. When the chorus hits, he starts bouncing off the barricade, trying to mosh with fans as he makes his way to the ring. JD rolls to the center of the ring pop to his feet throw a middle finger in the air as the fans yell out with him “J F’N D”!!! VALENTINA LOVELACE: And the champion... The opening of Mad Hatter begins to play, as lights flash to the tune of the little bells, but then the lights all change to a scarlet color as the verse first hits and Dani Davies steps out. She starts to walk down to the ring, singing the lyrics to the song as she stays away from the fans at ringside. The normals, they make me afraid The crazies, make me feel sane Dani walks towards the camera, reciting these words as she hopes onto the apron and poses. She looks around at the crowd with a bit of disgust, as she spins into the ring and poses one more time, still singing the words to the song as the music. VALENTINA LOVELACE: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN... THE WINNER OF THIS MATCH... VIA PINFALL… AND STILL NVR GOLDEN WEIGHT CHAMPION…!!! Dani wastes little time rolling out of the ring after her victory. She asks for her title and raises it high in the air. She’s not willing to share her spotlight with JD, so she continues to hold her title high and walks up the ramp. She’s almost to the top of the stage when she hears a voice. JD DRIFTWOOD: AYE, DANI… Driftwood is on his knees in the ring with a microphone. He’s heavy breathing from the match, but he’s got a big smile on his face. JD DRIFTWOOD: Congrats on the dub. You fucking earned it… but I’m here to tell you… I’m never going to stop hunting that title. Imma work my way back up, I’m going to get me another one-on-one shot with you, and I’m going to pry that shit from your cold dead hands. Just figured I’d do the gentlemenly thing and warn you. See you soon. Dani rolls her eyes and raises her title one more time, as if saying “Bring it, I’ll beat your ass again”, before turning back around and heading through the curtain. K.T. ANDERSON: JD says he’s not gonna stop coming after your precious Giant Slayer, Boomer. How do you feel about that? WARHEAD WILLIAMS: I think Dani is going to continue to take on all challengers because she’s a driven young champion and she isn’t afraid of anyone. That doesn’t mean JD isn’t any less of a threat. |

We stand outside of studio Independent with the Tag Team Champions, The Indy darlings. Rivers has his arms crossed and a pout on his face, something seems to be getting at him and he can’t seem to shake it off. Isabelle on the other hand is collected, not really phased by whatever her husband and tag partner are going through. When the camera pans back, we can see that they’re wearing matching bomber jackets with TEAM INDY stitched onto the heart as well as the back.
RIVERS KING: Once again, The Indy Darlings have done it. We made the World’s Most Okay Tag Team prove that they are just that, okay.
ISABELLE VALENTINE: "Okay" is a stretch but we'll give them that. Consider it a consolation prize and the last one you'll ever get from the champs.
Rivers tears open his TEAM INDY bomber jacket to reveal his NVR tag team title shining like it’s brand new. It helps that he treats his championship belt with care like a newborn baby; with love and care.
RIVERS KING: So now that we’re out with the old, we can start working on the new. Luckily, or erm rather unluckily for you guys, it’s Stronghold. See, I like Stronghold, they’re a new group with a lot of confidence. If there’s anything that daddy Rivers picked up on his trips up and down these roads, it's that you need confidence to succeed. Though, too much confidence could get you into some trouble. Like uh, maybe acting like the GREATEST tag team on the planet is simply stepping stones for your rise in this business. The only person that slaps Rivers King around is standing right next to me and we decided we only do that on the weekends.
Rivers let out a belly laugh as he looks at his wife, winking at her before he starts to slowly backpedal up toward the front door. He turns the knob and they start to walk onto the set of Studio Independent. We see that it’s a major wreck. Nearly destroyed and flooded, all thanks to some old busted pipe.
RIVERS KING: Now this, this right here is a disaster; a travesty. However, this isn’t as much of a travesty as the feeling of disappointment. That same feeling that Freddie and Donnie are going to feel when they go home empty-handed. ‘Cus when Isabelle Valentine and Rivers King step into a 20 by 20 squared circle, we’re doing this for a much greater cause. What better fuel to light our competitive flames than to fight for something bigger than the two of us? Yes, that’s right, we’re fighting for the SPORT of professional wrestling, and because of that? We never disappoint. It isn’t even on the menu over here.
ISABELLE VALENTINE: It's on the menu over there.
The comment catches Rivers off-guard and he stops for a moment, raising an eyebrow at his other half with the assumption that she's contradicting him. That smirk on her face says otherwise, though. She's amusing herself.
ISABELLE VALENTINE: It's the daily special over at Stronghold.
RIVERS KING: A few rookies walk into my company and get hot-shotted to the top of my division. That, I get. That happens all the time. … But for them to step up and try to take my title? Our tag team championships that we worked oh so hard for? Nah. I just don’t see that happening. I also won’t glorify and hype up people who haven’t even been here long enough for their cup of coffee to heat up. Isabelle and Rivers? You don’t have to check our temperatures to know that the Indy Darlings are hot, baby. Look at her. RED HOT.
She drops her bomber jacket off her shoulders as a sign that it's too hot in here for the jacket. However, it's also the perfect opportunity for her to show off the pythons that she's got inside those sleeves.
ISABELLE VALENTINE: We're too hot for you boys to hold, that's for sure.
She gives a subtle flex that Rivers oversells like only he can with his eyes popping out of his head while flinching back from them like the muscles (that are definitely not pythons) are going to actually bite him.

STRONGHOLD!!! VALENTINA LOVELACE: Introducing first, the challengers... The beginning of "Icon" By Jaden Smith plays. The high pitch singing plays for a moment as nothing around the area changes. Suddenly the music pauses and the lights go out. IT'S STRONGHOLD... IN THE MOTHER FUCKING HOUSE!!!
Lights come back on as the lyrics begin and STRONGHOLD burst through the curtain. Freddie licks his pinkies and fixes his eyebrows in the camera as Donnie pops his collar. Donnie charges down to the ring as Freddie hops to the beat on his way down. Prower slides into the ring and goes towards the hard cam side as Florentino meets up with him at the apron. They look at each other and pose in the ropes with simultaneous and symmetric bicep flexes as they say that "STRONGHOLD is in the Mother Fucking House". Freddie spins into the ring as Donnie backs up into the corner and takes his mask off. They do their secret handshake and talk strategy as they wait for the match to start. VALENTINA LOVELACE: And the champions... The opening of Perfect strangers begins to play as two spotlights shine on the stage, showing two silhouettes in each. The two walk toward each other, right when the song bursts to light and bright gold and white lights flash around the arena as they kiss. The lights reveal the Indy Darlings, Rivers King & Isabelle Valentine, as they continue to embrace each other and look at the camera. Rivers spins his girl out, so that she's standing by his side, and they walk down to the ring. They don't let the fans touch them, but they pretend the fans are talking about them as they head towards the ring. Rivers lips Isabelle onto the apron, where she kicks one long leg out onto his shoulder. They pose at ringside before Belle spins into the ring, and Rivers follows her. In the center of the ring, Rivers stands over Isabelle, as they pose one last time before their music starts. VALENTINA LOVELACE: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN... THE WINNER OF THIS MATCH... VIA DI- Riley hits a superkick on Rivers again as Jessica shoves her Tag Team Championship Opportunity Briefcase into the chest of Valentina Lovelace, telling her to announce the cash in VALENTINA LOVELACE: THE WORLD’S MOST OKAY TAG TEAM IS CASHING IN THEIR BRIE- STRONGHOLD slides back into the ring and starts brawling with Riley and Jess, preventing the cash-in from happening. While STRONGHOLD and WMOTT trade strikes in the ring, the NVR Tag Team Champions roll out of the ring, collecting their titles and escaping the chaos of their challengers. When the other two teams realize the champs are gone it’s too late. Riley and Jess peel out but not before Jess grabs a microphone. JESSICA ANDERSON: INDY DARLINGS… WHEREVER YOU ARE, I WANT TO LET YOU KNOW THAT EVEN THOUGH YOU GOT AWAY TONIGHT, YOU WON’T BE GETTING FAR!!! BECAUSE AT NVR’S 50TH SHOW… I’M CASHING IN MY BRIEFCASE AND RILEY AND I ARE TAKING OUR TITLE BA- DONNIE PROWER: NO THE FUCK YOU AREN’T!!! Donnie got a microphone too, because he was going to ask for a rematch, but got a better idea. DONNIE PROWER: We had this match on lock until you two cost us our match with that stupid briefcase… Freddie grabs the microphone from his partner. FREDDIE FLORENTINO: SO WE ARE CHALLENGING YOU FOR THAT DAMN BRIEFCASE AT 50, AND THEN NOBODY WILL BE SAFE FROM STRONGHOLD!!! Jessica and Riley look shocked, but Jessica raises her briefcase in the air anyways. The two top challengers stare each other down as the crowd goes crazy for this top match-up. WARHEAD WILLIAMS: I’m sick and tired of these interferences and disqualifications tonight, BUT IT LOOKS LIKE WE WILL BE STARTING THE NEW YEAR OFF RIGHT AT OUR 50TH SHOW!!! K.T. BACKSTAGE...
The show cuts backstage to the NEW NVR World Champion in Julianna DiMaria. She’s holding her newly won championship and obviously, she’s in bright spirits. The fact that she finally has the title that she has long coveted definitely puts her in the best mood that she’s ever been in. Julianna is definitely maintaining a bright poise as she begins to express her thoughts.
JULIANNA DIMARIA: "The moment that I legitimately held this title for the first time was 'FINALLY!'"
"FINALLY I am the NVR World Champion!"
"FINALLY I’ve got this company on my shoulders."
"FINALLY I no longer have to carry that unfortunate distinction of being the 'best NVR wrestler that has yet to win the world title'."
"It was a distinction that had long bothered me because I always knew I was capable. Don’t get me wrong, it very much was a struggle. I had to go through opportunity after opportunity of not getting it done. There were those losses to the likes of Karen Willow and Tapp Adams that were happening a lot more often than I wanted. There was that glass ceiling with Mimi Smith’s name on it. I have never chased any title in my career longer than the NVR World CHampionship. That was the goal from day one. Repeated failures to take that next step after my NVR Women’s Championship reign ended and my other world title reign ending the way it did at another company only hardened my resolve. Lash Donahue, great talent, great wrestler, don’t get me wrong. But he had already denied me my destiny once and I wasn’t going to allow it again! He gave it a valiant effort to retain this title, but in the end, I was just that much better."
"That’s ONE long-term burden that has been on my shoulders for years that is finally gone. However, things are coming full circle tonight in my first defense… the most unexpected of defenses…"
Julianna takes a moment to get out of celebration mode and to focus on the task at hand with retaining the NVR World Championship. She isn’t necessarily smirking anymore nor exuding that happy mood considering that this first defense is personal.
JULIANNA DIMARIA: "Jimmy, just when I thought I was done with you, THIS comes up. You come back out of nowhere and now you’re my first defense. Considering that I thought I was beyond you at this point, that’s where I am surprised. But when you consider the context of our history, I suppose I shouldn’t be. I remember on social media, you had all but written me off as someone who had faded from the spotlight. Huh, talk about comments that didn’t age well right? You want to hide behind your little computer screen and act like you’re such a tough guy now, but the truth of the matter is, and I would know this more than just about anyone, you have always been the guy that was all sizzle, no steak. Think about the last time we faced off in that WarGames match in that other company. Think about how you were trying to break the world with the Immortal Atrocities and how that all collapsed in front of you. Sure, you may be tempted to blame who you had in that group for being ‘weaklings’ and for dragging you down, but you’re the one that chose those weaklings. "
"Just like how it was my choice that I chose you… and god, do I regret that. Love makes you do some STUPID things and literally and figuratively, you were one of them. The Mistress of Demise was largely because of you, you and I both know that. Being with you is something that I regretted for a long time because the fact of the matter is, it really did drag me down from my true potential. Julianna leaves the locker room with her newly won championship, clearly determined and clearly ready to bring things full circle and to finally put her ex-boyfriend in her place once and for all. Shortly after she leaves, the scene fades out.

NO HONEY MADE FROM FAKE BOUQUETS As the intro to Bloom begins to play, smoke begins to fill the stage area. Suddenly, the heavy bass kicks in, and the lights begin to flash bright white and yellow. Out walks Jimmy Pridmore with a sunflower in his mouth. He looks around with a sick smile on his face before slowly walking down to the ring. When leaps onto the apron and take the sunflower out of his mouth as he looks deadpan at the hard camera. Jimmy drags the sunflower’s stem across his throat, as if cutting it, and then sliding into the ring. As his music fades, he raises the sunflower high in the air and smiles sadistically one last tie before heading to his corner. VALENTINA LOVELACE: And the champion... “Deal with the Devil” hits the speakers as Julianna DiMaria appears on the stage, greeted by some boos from the fans in attendance. She ignores them and heads down to the ring with a confident, focused look on her face. Once she heads inside the ring, she cracks her knuckles, indicating she's ready to fight, and afterward does the "talk to the hand" gesture toward all the fans that are booing her, displaying another touch of arrogance to get the fans against her even more. She heads to her corner and scoffs at the reaction she's getting as the song fades and she waits for what's coming next. VALENTINA LOVELACE: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN... THE WINNER OF THIS MATCH... VIA SUBMISSION… AND STILL NVR WORLD CHAMPION… JULIANNA DIMARIA!!! Julianna almost can’t believe she won after all the damage she has suffered. She weakly throws an arm up as Jeff the Ref helps her up to her feet and hands her the NVR World Championship. Julianna kisses the belt and raises the title high when the lights go out for a moment. They come back on, and where Jimmy’s broken body was, a pile of sunflowers has taken his place. Julianna is just happy she isn’t getting jumped. She begins to head out of the ring when she hears clapping and a familiar voice… ? ? ?: Congratultions... Upon the titantron, we see former NVR World Champion and NVR Alum, TAPP WRESTLING!!! TAPP WRESTLING: No really good job. Julianna looks up at the jumbo monitor with confusion. TAPP WRESTLING: Not to you, fake champ. He looks down at Julianna. TAPP WRESTLING: No, congratulations to NVR Wrestling and their terrible fans for being able to pretend like you are the REAL Champion. Congratulations, because you ALMOST got to the point where these idiots forgot that I was your champion this entire time. Tapp smirks. TAPP WRESTLING: You thought you could replace me with Karen. You thought you could replace me with Lash. You thought you could replace me with you, pseudo champ. However, everyone who knows me knows that I have been the REAL World Champion since October of 2020. Whether it was the briefcase, my initial title reign, or the fact that I have held this belt since May, I have never stopped being YOUR REAL NVR WORLD CHAMPION. Tapp pauses for a moment as you can see the frustration wash over him. TAPP WRESTLING: But I'm tired of watching this company fail at drawing in fans. I'm tired of you writing me out of your history because you know that nobody on this roster is on my level. Every day this company loses its credibility and legitimacy because you were never meant to be a champion. You should've taken my advice and left NVR when you had the chance because, at NVR's 50th show, I'm going to embarrass you and prove why I am the REAL AMD UNDISPUTED NVR WORLD CHAMPION!!! Julianna shouts her acceptance to his challenge and the crowd goes crazy, as the main event for the 50th NVR show has now been set. Another man walks out in front of Tapp and smiles. MO MOONEY: Now, if you'll excuse us, the REAL NVR World Champion has an industry to revolutionize... one wristlock at a time. Happy Holidays everyone. Mooney covers the camera lens and the titantron turns to black as Julianna raises her title one more time and the crowd goes crazy. K.T. ANDERSON: HOLY FUCK TAPP IS BACK AND HE'S COMING TO SAVE US!!! WARHEAD WILLIAMS: The stage has been set and our 50th show is going to be the biggest show we have ever had!!! See you all next year!!! |
