IN RING...
We open to a ring filled with the competitors for tonight's memorial tournament. In the center of them is NVR President, Caleb Jackson, and a pedestal with a trophy and Tapp's boots. Caleb welcomes everyone for the night and thanks them for wanting to celebrate the life of one of NVR's originals. He talks about how he saw Tapp grow into a megastar, and that it all started here in NVR. He tells a story about a timid rookie Tapp, who was afraid to make his debut, but Caleb reassured him because he knew Tapp had something special. Caleb then motions to everyone in the ring and says he sees the best parts of Tapp in all of the people in this ring. Whether they rivaled Tapp, followed Tapp, wanted to face him, or just had the same spirit, he sees them in him and that's why he picked them for this tournament. He points at the trophy and the boots on the pedestal and says that no matter who wins tonight, everyone competing is gonna make Tapp proud. He finishes by saying that as long as NVR continues on, we all will continue to make him proud the way we were proud of him. the fans finish the intro with a chant.

A technical match to start the tournament off. It’s filled with both wrestlers showing their grappling prowess. With a size and strength advantage, DJ pulls ahead early in the match getting The Iron Maiden onto the numerous times, but Callie proves to be consistently perseverant by kicking out every time. DJ Danger goes for the DANGER DRI- CALLIE COUNTERS WITH A INVERTED WHEELBARROW FACEBUSTER!!! Mounting a comeback, Callie lights up DJ with a series of strikes. Callie finishes the sequence up with QUEEN’S CHOICE… FOLLOWED BY OFF WITH YOUR HEAD!!! Callie covers for the… 1… 2… DJ KICKS OUT!!!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS: These two young grapplers are both trying to make a name for themselves here in this tournament!

K.T. ANDERSON: COME ON IRON MAIDEN!!! BEAT HIS ASS!!!

GEMMA MARCHAND: DJ DANGER MIGHT ACTUALLY BE IN DANGER!!!

Callie continues to be the faster striker compared to DJ. She keeps DJ on the defensive for the bulk of this match going forward, targeting his legs and keeping him on his knee. A series of roll-up variations by Buchanan nearly ends the match, but DJ is able to break out at longer and longer intervals. Nearly getting the win with a Bridging O'Connor Roll, Callie loses her momentum when DJ kicks out and catches her with a SLEEPER HOLD AS SHE DROPS FROM THE BRIDGE!!! Callie rolls backward to her feet and tries for a DOUBLE FOO- NO!!! DJ rolls to his feet and Callie tries to catch him with CALLIE-FORNIA DREAM- NO!!! DJ evades and counters with his own DE-KNEE-NO!!! Callie sidesteps and leaps up for DROP THE CURT- STILL NO!!! The counters are heavy here, as DJ prevents the double underhook and transitions into a fireman's carry. He spins her onto one shoulder and drills her with the DANGER DRIVER!!! He covers for the… 1… 2… 3!!!

AFTER THE MATCH...
DJ Danger talks about how he never got to face Tapp in NVR. He says that despite that, he saw what Tapp meant to NVR and wants that for himself. He wants to be the guy who can go all over the world and bring that prestige back to NVR. Dj believes confidently that he is going to win this tournament and use it as his opportunity to fill the void Tapp's death has left. He is going to be NVR's next big thing, that same pillar Tapp used to be, but he's going to do it better.

BACKSTAGE...
Cera Conner stands in the hallway, monitoring everyone who passes. She talks about how this tournament doesn't mean anything to her, but any opportunity to beat people is an opportunity she's going to take. Cera says, despite the losses, she's been nothing but dominant and that will be her legacy tonight and forever. She sees no need for the shadows of others because she is the future and she's here to prove it. Lastly, she tells Adrianna not to worry too much about her match tonight, because she'll be with Tapp soon.

PREVIOUSLY RECORDED...
Adrianna Wilde is on the STRONGHOLD bus, but she isn't as excited or hyped as she usually is on the hype bus. Wilde talks about how Tapp plucked her out of obscurity and gave her an opportunity to succeed again when she had all but given up on wrestling. Tapp was a mentor when nobody else was. STRONGHOLD is still her family, but they're missing the thing that tied them all together, and though STRONGHOLD is fine, Adrianna feels like this tournament can give them the closure they need to be better again. Adrianna says this tournament is going to be hers, and that nobody will stop her from making Tapp proud one last time.

A hard hitting fight, here we see The Wilde Striker, Adrianna Wilde, take on The Terminator, Cera Conner. Adri starts off quick with a barrage of strikes, but Cera starts blockin and catching her arms. Starting her own offensive momentum, Cera begins to push Adri to the ropes. That is until Adri cuts Cera’s legs out from beneath her and starts to target the lower body. Going for a takedown, Adri is looking to capitalize on all the hard work she put into weakening Cera’s base, but instea she get’s Wrenched up into a powerbomb… AND LAUNCHED INTO THE TURNBUCKLES!!! Cera takes a deep breath as Wilde stumbles out of the corner… NOT FURLONG!!! Wilde is out on her feet now as The Terminator pops her up for a fireman’s carry slam and follows up for CYBERNETIC ORGASM!!! She pins for the… 1… 2… 3-NO!!! ADRIANNA KICKS OUT!!!

GEMMA MARCHAND: I REALLY THOUGHT IT WAS OVER!!!

Adrianna struggles to come back at all during this match, as Cera continues to just dominate. NVR’s Resident T-100 takes her nickname seriously as she brutalizes Wilde with slams and bombs. Adri happens to land on her feet after a back body drop, and dives through the ropes to get space away from Conner. She catches her breath for a moment, but Cera enjoys the hunt and goes outside too. They brawl for a bit, and it looks like Cera might hit a suplex into the barricade, but Adrianna breaks free and lands a handful of strikes to get her space again. Wilde goes for a RHYDEEN BO- BIONIC ELBOW BY CERA!!! Cera again tries to capitalize, but Adrianna now runs to the ring and slides in. Cera follows her in, but here comes Adrianna WITH A CHOP BLOCK!!! The old Tapp tactic works perfect as Conner drops to a knee and Wilde follows up with a BASEMENT SILICON BUSTER!!! Wilde roars to the crowd as she finishes Cera off with BREAKTHROUGH!!! The penalty kick to the head lands and she covers for the… 1… 2… 3!!!

DURING THE BREAK...
Brody Howitzer relates a lot to Tapp in his final days. He remembers being a young movie star thinking the world was his oyster and making himself the most marketable brand he can be. He goes on a bit of a rant about being on the set of one of his many many movies that should have been a blockbuster hit but weren't. Howitzer has no way of relating it back to Tapp, but honestly it kind of sounds like a Tapp-styled rant, so it still feels on brand. Realizing this show was technically about Tapp, Brody says that even though the curtain has closed on Tapp, Brody will live forever... and also he's winning the Tapp Trophy to put next to his Razzie.

EARLIER TODAY...
Donnie Prower is a broken man looking for closure. There's a lot going through his mind, but he reassures us all that he is focused only on winning this tournament. Donnie doesn't feel a need to elaborate on what Tapp has done for him, nor does he need to explain that they didn't see eye-to-eye in the end. He says that the loss of Tapp has made him question a lot of things, but the one thing he knows is that Tapp would want him to continue wrestling and continue to build his brand. Donnie admits he doesn't know how to be a brand the way Tapp did, but he's going to make damn sure that he wrestles his heart out until it's him vs Adrianna the way Tapp would want it. He looks like he wants to say more, but doesn't.

Polar opposites collide here as the cocky wild card, Brody Howitzer, faces off against technical prodigy, Donnie Prower. Brody taunts and teases Donnie with nose twists instead of tie-ups, and a side headlock that ends in a noogie. Prower almost instantly gets frustrated with Brody’s antics, but the veteran grappler utilizes rope breaks to keep the Grap-as-Grap-can wrestler out of his element. Donnie does land a huge suplex and starts to outmaneuver Brody, but when he goes for the heel hook, Brody lands a kick that jacks the jaw of Donnie. Prower grabs his face as Brody follows up with THE BLOOPER HEEL!!! Donnie is dazed, so Brody lands his SIGNATURE BACK SUPLEX!!! COMPLETE WITH ARM FLEX AFTERWARDS!!! Brody makes a snide comment about Tpap, before going up for THE CHINKILLA!!! He covers Donnie with the… 1… 2… DONNIE KICKS OUT!!!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS: PROWER WITH AMAZING RESOLVE AS HE KICKS OUT OF HELLACIOUS COMBO AFTER HELLACIOUS COMBO!!!

Brody looks to end this now as he goes for DEATHKILL DRIVE- SINGLE LEG TAKEDOWN BY DONNIE!!! Donnie wrestles trying to lock in the heel hook, but Howitzer scrambles to get to the rope and breaks the hold before any damage can be done. Howitzer and Donnie trade strikes with Brody getting the edge again, this time due to an eye poke. Brody goes to the second turnbuckle and leaps with a BLOCKBUSTER!!! Prower tries to get right back up to his feet, but Brody rushes him with another BLOOPER HE- DONNIE CATCHES THE BOOT… REVERSE DRAGON SCREW!!! Howitzer grabs at his leg, but Donnie floats over and follows up with a SHINBREAKER… INTO A SAITO SUPLEX!!! Donnie tries to use the leg one more time, but Brody breaks free with a wild elbow to the temple. He lines Donnie up for the WHISKEY TANGO FOX- NO!!! Donnie with a shove into the ropes. Prower goes to capitalize, but Howitzer superkicks him in the gut! Howitzer tells Donnie “It’s Curtains” as he sets him up for REVENGEANCE- NO!!! Brody lifts Donnie into the suplex, but Prower escapes behind him and hits an O’Connor Roll into the HEEL HOOK!!! Brody has no choice but TO TAP!!!

Kai Urigawa is training with Reo and Naoki as TJS and TJS 4 NEWS comes up to interview him. Teddy asks Kai how he feels about being in the tournament tonight. Kai responds with the fact that Tapp and Kai had faced off a few times in NVR, in different stages in their careers here. They were always on different levels. Sometimes Kai was above Tapp, some times Tapp was above Kai. It never mattered though, because they both loved to compete and that's what bonded them as wrestlers. Teddy asks Kai what winning the Tapp Memorial Tournament trophy would mean to him, and initially, Kai says nothing. Though they were a lot alike, Kai never liked Tapp. That being said, standing tall and holding that trophy would give him the opportunities he's been craving. Kai wants to bring gold to ONI, and that trophy is just one of many he plans on bringing in. Teddy tries to ask more questions, this time about Gavin, but Reo steps up and tells TJS to leave.

Gavin looks at the camera with a bit of a half smile. He admits that he and Tapp hated each other, but that he would have never wished death on him. Gavin relates Tapp's death to him dying at the peak of his undefeated streak back in 2017. Tapp had so much potential and was so good at getting his name out there, and maybe that's why he and Gavin butt heads because that's how Gavin used to be too. Gavin says that Tapp always pushed him, and though he may not necessarily want to make Tapp proud, he definitely wouldn't be upset with being the person to represent Tapp's memory from here on out. Gavin says that Kai, Donnie, DJ, and Adrianna are all stiff wrestlers and talented athletes, but The Cult Classic is on a level that only he and Tapp were on, and that's why he is confident he will win the whole damn thing.

Gavin and Kai circle the ring. The two slowly try to feel each other out with tie-up attempts and some kicks. When they finally grab each other, they shove back and forth for momentum, but it becomes a stalemate. Gavin starts to get some power, but Kai sweeps the leg. Gavin with a neck bridge to prevent himself from hitting the mat until Kai drops a knee onto his face. Kai tries to capitalize, but Gavin scrambles to his feet. Some high-intensity kicks and Gavin starts to get his momentum back. He goes for a HANDSPRING BACK ELBO- KAI CATCHES HIM!!! Urigawa counters the springboard move into the DRAGON SUPLEX!!!

Kai starts to feel his moment to come as he runs at Gavin for a stiff European Uppercu- GAVIN COUNTERS!!! It’s hard to explain, but just know Gavin scouted the move and transitions to THE KING’S CROSSFACE!!! Kai scrambles to break free, but Gavin is desperate and holds on tight, even after Kai somehow makes it to the ropes. Gavin eats a few kicks from Kai as Urigawa sets up for another DRAG- CAPTAIN CUTTER!!! Grimes is now calling on the crowd to give him energy as he hits the SAC-TOWN KICK… AND THEN THE CROWNING!!! Kai is down and Gavin covers for the… 1… 2… 3!!!

A technical brawl from beginning to end. Adrianna and DJ had something to prove as they trade strikes that inevitably led to the ground. DJ keeps Wilde’s back to the mat, as he mounts her and tries to smother her with a series of submissions, but Adri tries to pull guard and eventually fights herself free. Danger stays on Wilde, delivering stiff punches that put her on the ropes. Wilde desperately whips DJ through the middle ropes to get away. DJ tries to get back into the ring, but Wilde kicks the ropes as he does and falls to the mat. Adrianna hits the ropes and looks to finish him with BREAKTHROU- SPEAR BY DJ DANGER!!! Adrianna Wilde nearly flips from the force as DJ takes a back mount and locks in an STF!!! Frantically, Adri tries to get to the ropes, but DJ applies a fish hook to further the torture. Wilde gets desperate and BITES DJ’S HAND!!! Danger scurries to the ropes as he checks his hand and Wilde pops up for a SILICON BUSTER- NO!!! DJ holds onto the ropes to counter the move! Adrianna tries to get up as DJ pops her up for a SHEER DROP MICHINOKU DRIVER!!! He holds on for the… 1… 2… 3NO!!! ADRIANNA KICKS OUT AT THE LAST MINUTE!!!

A brutal war that, judging from fan reaction, is probably the match of the night so far. Adrianna and DJ just go back and forth with slams and holds. DJ Danger seems to get the edge, wearing down Adrianna and going for her legs and then her neck. Adrianna starts to mount a comeback, but it is instantly halted by a USHIGOROSHI!!! DJ Danger hypes the fans up as Wilde crawls to the corner. She tries to pull herself up as he comes running with a YAKUZA KI-NO! Adrianna moves out of the way and DJ leaps onto the top corner to catch himself. DJ leaps off with a FLYING CLOTHESLI- SILICON BUSTER!!! Seizing her moment lifts Danger to his feet and wraps him up for the REALITY CHECK!!! Down goes Danger and Wilde goes for the cover… 1… 2… DJ DANGER KICKS OUT!!! Adrianna grabs DJ’s arms from behind, setting up for COGNITIVE DIS- JAW BREAKER BY DJ!!! He lifts her up for the DANGER DRIVER!!! DJ’s exhaustion gets the best of him here, as he slowly goes for the cover, but he takes too long. Wilde rolls to the ropes to keep DJ from capitalizing once they both regain consciousness. DJ runs at Adri with a clothesline, but Adri ducks it. She leaps onto the middle rope for the HANG OV- DJ LEAPS UP AND HITS A GERMAN OFF THE ROPES!!! He grabs her legs and sets up for the SHARPSHOOT- ADRIANNA BREAKS FREE!!! She goes for the ankle and fights to takedown DJ. Danger fights, but Wilde is relentless, finally taking him to the ground and is able to apply LOCKED IN SYNDROME!!! Knowing she needs more to beat DJ at this point, she rears back for BREAKTHROUGH!!! She punts DJ right in the head for the… 1… 2… 3!!!

BREAKING NEWS...
We cut to the backstage area where Donnie Prower is pacing back and forth. He says that, before he goes on to this match against Gavin, or even to the finals to face Adrianna, he needs to get something off his chest. Back in July, Tapp lost in just ten seconds to Gavin, and that all led to Tapp begging for a shot into the American Thunder Dome. Donnie looks down, a mix of shame and disappointment in his eyes as he proceeds to explain how all of this was constructed by him. He was the one who told Tapp that if he lost, he could get into the Thunder Dome. Prower goes into detail about how he convinced Tapp to lose quickly to win big, and how he knew that with Adrianna being in the Dome, Tapp would be sure to win, because Adrianna would do anything for Tapp's approval at the time. It worked perfectly, but the instant success went to Tapp's head and added to the rift he and Tapp had right before Tapp's passing. He was glad his friend got what he wanted, but Gavin got a now seemingly hollow win, Adrianna was robbed of her moment, and Donnie was left with no closure still. This gauntlet he faces now, Gavin and then Adri, is his opportunity to do right by everyone.

One of Tapp’s running buddies and One of Tapp’s last big rivals fighting for the last spot in the finals of Tapp’s memorial tournament. Determined to make things right, Donnie opens with a ferocious set of takedowns, trying to get Gavin to the mat. Grimes fights for his life trying to stay on his feet or near the ropes. Gavin Grime’s experience playing a big role in his defensive strategy. Donnie finally gets Gavin to the ground, and instantly he starts working on the leg. Gavin kicks himself free, lunging for the ropes to escape Prower’s attack on his ankle. He stomps it to make sure he can still stand, but before he can get back into the fight, Donnie hits a baseball slide, grabs Gavin’s foot, and pull him to the outside. A series of dragon whips into the barricade nearly end the match on a stoppage. However, Gavin hits a step-up Enziguri and limps off into the ring. Grimes’ wings were clipped, and his ankle is too hurt to allow him to do his usual acrobatic style, but he was still fighting. Despite the dominance, Donnie struggles to gain control of that bad leg again, as Gavin tries to defend it and keep it away from The Creature of the Catch Lagoon. Eventually, Gavin does slip up though, after catching Donnie on the chin with a knee strike during a takedown attempt, he goes for the SAC-TOWN KI- CAUGHT!!! Donnie pulls him in for a Shin breaker… INTO A SAITO SUPLEX!!! Gavin rolls around the ring grabbing his leg as Donnie runs up with a RUNNING DOUBLE FOOT STOMP!!! Donnie points up to the sky and he locks in THE TAPP CLASSIC!!! IT’S ALL OVER FOR GAVIN!!! THE CULT CLASSIC FIGHTS, BUT HE HAS NOWHERE TO GO!!! GAVIN IS ABOUT TO TA- “I HOPE YOU SUFFER” BY AFI PLAYS!!! The crowd erupts as Adrianna Wilde runs to the ring! Recognizing the music, Donnie releases the hold, and comes face to face with the woman who he indirectly betrayed back at American Thunder Dome. Adrianna and Donnie stare at each other, and Wilde demands an explanation, but Donnie just says “I’m Sorry”. Adrianna screams at him to explain why he’d ruined her moment, but again Donnie apologizes. Wilde looks frustrated, as she just reluctantly nods before telling her STRONGHOLD Brother “Spotlight for a Spotlight”... AND DECKS DONNIE RIGHT IN THE KISSER!!! Steph the Ref was distracted by Gavin trying to pull himself up on her, so she didn’t see the strike. Gavin is also unaware, as Adrianna slips away, but he sees a stunned Prower and hits a ROLL UP OF DOOM… 1… 2… 3!!!

This is it. With this match, we say Goodbye to Tapp forever, and boy did Adrianna and Gavin deliver for him. Gavin is still nursing that bad leg, and Adrianna is doing everything she can to get to it. Stiff kicks to the knee and takedown attempt whenever she can, Wilde is a relentless force. Gavin is as fluid as he can be, as he rolls and cartwheels away from Wilde. Adrianna switches up her game, looking for a hurricanrana takedown, BUT GAVIN CATCHES HER WITH A RIGHT!!! Adri is dropped, but she keeps the offense going, trying to roll up onto Gavin’s bad leg. The veteran, Grimes, dives over Wilde with a barrel roll. They both get to their feet and Gavin hits a PELE KICK!!! Despite her alliance with the dearly departed, the fans are firmly behind Gavin and are here for his comeback in this match. He lights her up with a series of punches. Adri tries to stop his momentum by going for a pump kick, but he catches her with a sling blade followed by a BUZZSAW KICK!!! He tries for a pin, but Wilde rolls away. She goes to pull herself up using the ropes, BUT GAVIN HITS A SUICIDE SUNSET FLIP POWERBOMB TO THE RINGSIDE FLOOR BELOW!!! Neither of them moves as the referee begins his count!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS: THEY’RE BOTH IN A HEAP IN FRONT OF US!!!

K.T. ANDERSON: GET UP ADRIANNA!!! GET UP NOW!!!

GEMMA MARCHAND: NEITHER WRESTLER IS MOVING!!!

Both wrestlers struggle to get up, but they do make it into the ring before the count of 10. Gavin's starting to move extra slowly now as the bad leg starts to take effect. Adri only makes it worse by hitting a chop block that makes Gavin scream so loud, Jeff the Ref nearly throws an X, but Gavin refuses to give up. He pulls himself to his feet as Adrianna runs at him going into a wheelbarrow INTO A ROLLING KNEE BAR!!! Gavin screams as he crawls toward the ropes. Adrianna starts to drill some kicks into the back of his head. Grimes fights through the pain and reaches out TO BREAK THE HOLD!!! Wilde charges him, but Gavin sidesteps and allows Adrianna to collide into the ropes. She stumbles backward as he goes for a ROUNDHO- TURN OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS!!! Legsweep into an ankle lock and Gavin once again finds himself trapped in a leg submission as he tries to roll into the ropes. Adri drops down into a grapevine, and now the pain is really on Grimes’ lower leg. Desperately he grabs the ropes again. Adrianna wraps him up for the REALITY CHE-NO!!! Gavin charges at the ropes, ignoring his bad leg, and goes for a CLOTHESLI- ADRIANNA DUCKS IT NOW… THE HANGO- ANTI-AIR MISSILE DROPKICK!!! Adrianna grabs her chest as Gavin sets up for the SAC-TOWN KICK!!! Wilde is out on her knees, so Gavin shoots behind for the KING’S CROSSFACE!!! Wilde scrambles, as she wasn’t expecting this. Gavin starts to wrench back, but Adrianna targets the bad leg and fights until SHE BREAKS THE HOLD!!!

Gavin has miraculously taken the match’s momentum away from Adrianna in the closing moments. Despite having only one leg, The Cult Classic was able to keep Adri away with a series of strikes and roll-ups. An uppercut and a boot to the gut drop Wilde to her knees. Gavin goes to hits a magistral cradle for the… 1… 2… ADRI KICKS OUT!!! Gavin kips up and drills a BUZZSAW KICK INTO ADRIANNA’S HEAD!!! Gavin goes to the nearest corner and starts to climb up for King Splash, but that bad leg makes him take too long and Adrianna makes her way to her feet. She gets to the corner and yanks Gavin down with an RHYDEEN BOMB!!! Adrianna pulls him up and delivers a REALITY CHECK!!! Gavin is down to one knee as Wilde looks to finish him off with THE HANGOVER!!! The springboard DDT spikes Gavin and she goes for the cover… 1… 2… GAVIN KICKS OUT SOMEHOW!!! Adrianna is beyond frustrated as she goes to the corner. Gavin tries to get to his hands and knees, but Wilde comes charging with BREAKTHRO- ROLL UP OF DOO- ADRIANNA ROLLS TO HER FEET… CAPTAIN CUTTER BY GAVIN!!! The crowd is going crazy, as these two wrestlers hit each other with everything they have. Feelings the fans, The Captain gets to his feet and starts to stalk Adrianna. As soon as she gets to her feet, Gavin goes for THE CROWN- ADRIANNA SHOVES HIM INTO THE ROPES!!! Gavin stumbles backward off the rebound and Adrianna CATCHES HIM WITH COGNITIVE DISSONANCE!!! The force of the double-wristlock backstabber flips Gavin onto his stomach. Adrianna grabs his leg and locks in ACHILLES REAL!!! Wilde has Grimes trapped in the center of the ring. He’s already not moving, but Adri started stomping on Gavin’s head. With his last breath, Gavin brings an arm up AND TAPS!!!

Adrianna is overwhelmed with emotion as Jeff the Ref raises her hand and presents her with the Tapp Classic trophy. Mo Mooney and Freddie Florentino make their way down to the ring, and even K.T. Anderson runs to celebrate with Adrianna. They lift Adrianna up on their shoulders and she raises her trophy high in the air. They all point up to the sky. Out on the stage area, you can see Donnie Prower celebrating as well. Adri and Donnie make eye contact for a moment and they both nod at each other. K.T. runs back to the commentary booth screaming with pride as he puts on his headset.

K.T. ANDERSON: WOOOOOOOOOO!!! SHE FUCKING DID IT FOR TAPP!!! HE’D BE SO PROUD!!! LET’S GOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
