"Call Me" kicks off, filling the room with the kicking guitars before the lyrics serenade the room and the detestable Callie Buchanan walks out and stands on the stage, looking over the people she claims as her masses booing her. She flusters the end of her long coat and walked down to the ring, not even looking at or interacting with the fans. Choosing instead to trash-talk her opponent. When the bratty Brit gets into the ring, she poses with her arms outstretched and slides her coat off, getting into her corner. VALENTINA LOVELACE: Coming to the ring now... LADIES AND GENTLEMEN
LENA’S BACK!!! “Like This” by Kelly Rowland ft. Eve begins to play as Lena Galante steps out. She walks up to a giant spotlight in the center of the stage and swings her hips before posing. Spice walks down to the ring, ignoring the fans along the way. Lena gets to the ringside and slides across the apron, before springing up and spinning herself through the ropes. She struts to the center of the ring and poses as she waits for her music to stop. VALENTINA LOVELACE: And the champion... The opening riffs of Leather Rebel play, as Brea struts out and posed on the top of the ramp. She flashed some devil horns and headbangs briefly, before moving down the ramp. She joins in with some fans and climbs up the apron. She does a standing split, before rolling under the bottom rope and kipping up, before posing for the crowd as her theme fades. VALENTINA LOVELACE: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN... THE WINNER OF THIS MATCH... VIA SUBMISSION... AND NEW NVR WOMEN’S CHAMPION… DANI DAVIES!!! Dani Davies refuses to release the hold. Dani screams into Brea’s ear as she passes out that she told her it was always going to be Dani to dethrone Brea. Callie and Lena weren’t going to be allowed to defeat The Leather Rebel, because it was always going to be Dani. Jeff the Ref threatens to turn over the decision, and that’s the only reason why Dani lets go. She demands her title as she drops to her knees next to Brea and continues to say “It was always me”. Callie and Lena are starting to stir at ringside, and they hit the ring about to give Dani a receipt, but the new NVR Women’s Champion escapes. She raises her championship to a symphony of boos. WARHEAD WILLIAMS: I can’t condone Dani’s actions, I know I’ve shown favoritism in the past, but she definitely chose her opportunity and capitalized in the best possible way. GEMMA MARCHAND: CALLIE HAD BREA DEAD TO RIGHTS!!! CALLIE WAS ROBBED!!! K.T. ANDERSON: DANI DAVIES TRULY IS THAT BITCH, AND I HAVE TO APPLAUD HER FOR THAT!!! NEW CHAMPION HERE TONIGHT!!! |

DURING THE BREAK...
Backstage we see Jessica Carter, Natalie Kassidy, Chad Kassidy, and Thad Kassidy all hyped up backstage. Natalie starts off by telling everyone that they're tired of being disrespected. Natalie and Jessica are still the best tag team, titles or not, and the only people on their level are Chad and Thad. Jessica says that she has dominated the tag team division for so long, she's had to step over to the singles division just to give some new life to the tag division because she's almost tired of winning the tag titles over and over again. Natalie and Jessica both talk about how they deserve championships, but NVR is too afraid of just handing the belts to them already, because they would never lose them, so they're going to be hunting them their selves. Jessica says she's setting her sights on the R!ZE Championship and Natalie says that she's going to be gunning for the Women's Championship soon. Chad says that it'll only be a matter of time before he and Thad are tag team champions. They bring up every single time they lose, it's because the referee isn't doing their job, and that once they've beaten the Dead Pretenders, they're going to take the tag titles from STRONGHOLD and there isn't a thing anyone can do to stop them. The World's Chaddest Faction predicts that they'll be draped on gold before the end of the year.
BACKSTAGE...
Izzy is pacing, clearly hyped, but she has a bit of hopelessness in her face. She talks about how she's hit a bit of a slump in NVR. Other champions and big names have hit these slumps before, but Izzy has never gone through this kind of adversity in NVR. She admits she's gotten a bit accustomed to winning, and that she knows that she's going to turn it around soon and be back on top. She hypes up the accolades of Jessica and Julianna, and talks about how both have been rivals of hers over the years, but that at the end of the night Izzy was always on top. Tonight will be no different. She maybe down, but she isn't out. She has become the face of this company, not because of the title reigns, but because she's been the best since day 1, and she won't be giving up that spot any time soon.
LIVE...
Julianna is angry. She feels like nothing she does is good enough for these fans or commentary. It doesn't help that a goon like K.T. Anderson is always talking shit about her. It makes her angry, because she's better than everyone's favorites. Shit rattles off a list of names she feels are overrated compared to her, with a pretty big focus on "that bitch Gavin Grimes", because they're all fake crowd-pleasers, and she only cares about winning. That's why she stopped listening to the fans, that's why she attacked Nevada in the fall, and that's why she's going to beat Izzy and Jessica tonight. Izzy is too busy being a clown for the fans and Jessica is too busy being a team player with a bunch of losers. It's time for the Scourge to take her place at the top.

JESSICA CARTER VALENTINA LOVELACE: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THIS NEXT MATCH IS A TRIPLE THREAT AND IT IS SCHEDULED FOR ONE FALL!!! ONE FALL!!! VALENTINA LOVELACE: Introducing first... Cher Lloyd’s “I Wish” featuring T.I. hits the speakers, paving the way for the arrival of Jessica Carter. She emerges through the curtain with a spring in her step and stops on the stage to raise her left index finger into the air. She yells out at the top of her lungs, like a battle cry, before beginning her descent down the ramp. Smiling from ear to ear, she swings her hips as though she’s modeling at New York Fashion Week. Sauntering down to the ring, Jessica waves and smiles out to the crowd before finally reaching the end of the ramp. She climbs up the steps and hops around the ring post, then straddles the middle rope. She winks at the camera before slapping her backside, finally pulling the rest of her form inside the ring. There, she heads to one of the four posts and ascends to the middle turnbuckle, where she will perform her signature pose before hopping back down to get in some last-second stretches. VALENTINA LOVELACE: And next… Izzy comes out of the curtain bumping to her music. She rips open her vest, throws her head back, and poses at the top of the ramp. She smiles and smirks with the fans chanting "Izzy, Izzy, Izzy". Upon reaching the threshold where the ramp meets the ring mat, Izzy bites her lip, winks at the camera, and slides into the ring. She pops up to her feet and heads to the hardcam side of the ring. She slides her torso in between the top and middle rope. She smiles and throws her arms open forming the horns with her hands. Izzy's eyes widen and her smile looks a little more crazed. She pulls back and looks on at her opponent eager to get down. VALENTINA LOVELACE: Lastly their opponent... “Deal with the Devil” hits the speakers as Julianna DiMaria appears on the stage, greeted by some boos from the fans in attendance. She ignores them and heads down to the ring with a confident, focused look on her face. Once she heads inside the ring, she cracks her knuckles, indicating she's ready to fight and afterward does the "talk to the hand" gesture toward all the fans that are booing her, displaying another touch of arrogance to get the fans against her even more. She heads to her corner and scoffs at the reaction she's getting as the song fades and she waits for what's coming next. VALENTINA LOVELACE: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN... THE WINNER OF THIS MATCH... VIA PINFALL... JESSICA CARTER!!! Jessica rolls out of the ring and she throws a hand up in the air, acknowledging herself as the winner. Julianna starts to wake up from the headlock driver she took and the frustration is evident. She mutters to herself that if she can’t earn her spotlight, she’s going to take it. Izzy just sits in the center of the ring, staring into space. She has had more losses in the last year than her entire tenure in NVR Wrestling, and she has no idea where she can go from here, and it just sinks in. K.T. ANDERSON: I want to be happy for Jess, but knowing that she’s friends with Germa makes me wish this match was a no-contest somehow. GEMMA MARCHAND: YES!!! JESS!!! ATTA GIRL!!! Also, shut up and stop being jealous, K.T.!!! WARHEAD WILLIAMS: AMAZING MATCH BY THREE OF OUT TOP WRESTLERS!!! AND NO FUNNY BUSINESS!!! YOU GOTTA LOVE IT!!! |

PREVIOUSLY RECORDED...
Naoki and Reo are backstage going over their game plan. Reo tells Naoki that he was a lame-duck champion and that he brought shame upon the Ojima and ONI names. He says that Kai is more of a son to him than Naoki. Naoki tries to counter, but his father keeps cutting him off. Reo says that he's going to show Naoki how to abuse a smaller opponent. He's not going to get embarrassed by a girl like Naoki was, and he's not going to allow Mimi to even walk out of the match, let alone with her briefcase opportunity. The Patriarch of the Ojimas finishes up by saying once he owns the NVR World Championship Opportunity Briefcase, he will cash in on Nevada and give NVR a world champion they can finally be proud of.
BACKSTAGE...
Gavin Grimes is excited for tonight. It's been nearly a year since he's gotten a chance to challenge for the NVR World Championship, and tonight is the night he earns another chance. He brings up his feuds with Tapp, Noah, and even his unresolved stuff with Julianna, and he feels like it's built him up for this moment. He acknowledges MYOJIN, Diego, and Enforcer as the great wrestlers that they are, but he knows he's just THAT much better. He's got the better resume, and after tonight, he'll have the best chance at becoming the next NVR World Champion. He dares anyone in the locker room to try and stop him, because he's The Captain and he's in control now.

On The Run by The Seatbelts begins to play and the crowd gives a mixed reaction to the veteran wrestler Reo Ojima. Stepping out and making his way down the ramp, Reo has his face covered with a black towel. Stepping inside the ring, Reo makes his way over to a corner and does a few stretches before taking the towel off his head and tossing it to one of the young boys. Taking a mouthguard off his ear, he places it in his mouth and gets ready for his match. VALENTINA LOVELACE: And their opponent... The Game by Alyssa Reid begins to play in the arena and we see Mimi’s name flash on the screen. She darts out of the back in a pair of dark denim jeans with a loose hanging NVR shirt one size too big for her. Mimi gives the crowd a few nods and peels off the covering on her shirt that turns it from a standard NVR shirt into a “Mimi's NVR House” shirt before she walks down to the ring with her arms behind her back, skipping once she’s halfway down the ramp and ends with a perfect slide into the ring. Once she’s on her feet Mimi gives a little twirl to a pose where her feet are a shoulder's length apart and her hands flat out with a complimenting smirk to say "Come on". VALENTINA LOVELACE: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN... THE WINNER OF THIS MATCH... VIA PINFALL... AND STILL THE HOLDER OF THE NVR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP OPPORTUNITY BRIEFCASE… MIMI SMITH!!! Mimi gets her arm raised and celebrates with the fans. Reo rises behind her, his face covered with blood. He charges at her like he’s going to hit her from behind, BUT NAOKI SLIDES INTO THE RING AND STOPS HIM. Naoki pleads with him, but Reo SMACKS HIM!!! That’s it, they’re brawling and it goes all the way to the back!!! While all this commotion is going on, Mimi has gotten a microphone and she’s been patiently waiting to use it. When all the chaos dies down, she finally gets the chance to speak. She points to the shirt she’s wearing. MIMI SMITH: This is my NVR House… and I fight to prove that every single night. Mimi takes a breath, still recovering from the match. She takes a small little pace back and forth as she's speaking. MIMI SMITH: Since the very start, Nevvy Pro has been my home. I started my career here, I won some of my first championship here, and I have made my name here. She looks around. MIMI SMITH: Double Trouble was the first real NVR Tag Team. I was in the same class as Izzy Van Doren, Rivers King, and Jimmy Pagan. I was building my name at the same time as Karen Willow and Julianna DiMaria. I’ve wrestled for every title and been in every kind of match this company has to offer. Mimi takes another deep breath. MIMI SMITH: But somehow I fell to the wayside, discarded like an old whopper wrapper on a Wednesday while the other guys and girls got the opportunity to grow. That all changed though when I won this bad boy… Mimi raises her briefcase high in the air. A big sticker that says “Mimi for Champ 2023” in the center of it shines in the light. MIMI SMITH: Nobody in my family with the last name Smith has made it to the top of the mountain. We’ve won tag titles, midcard titles, major tournaments, and anything else you can think of, but not one has made it to the echelon of World Champion, and now finally, I have a chance to break not only my own stagnation but also what seems to be a familial curse. You can hear her voice start to quiver as she becomes a bit overwhelmed with emotion. MIMI SMITH: I know there are still a lot of people like JD and Reo who think because I’m small and cute, that I can’t be a world champion. They think I don’t have that killer instinct, or the edge to make it, so they want to take my opportunity from me. And that’s fine that they think it because I will prove anyone in that locker room wrong. Big or small. Man or woman. Newscaster or Dinosaur. I will take them on, and I will prove that I am just as deserving of this shot as anyone in this company. The fans cheer for Mimi with a “You deserve it” chant, and she smiles. MIMI SMITH: I appreciate that you guys have always been there for me, cheering me on no matter who I’m facing. Just as I prove everyone in the back wrong, I hope I can prove you all right when I finally cash this in and become Nevvy Pro World Champion!!! BECAUSE THIS IS MY NVR HO- Suddenly "Coral Fang" by Patient Zero plays and the crowd goes crazy. Izzy Van Doren walks out with a big smile on her face. She bows to the fans and circles the ring, before making eye contact with Mimi and rolling in. Izzy asks for Mimi’s microphone and Smith obliges. Izzy looks down at the mat and then back to Mimi. IZZY VAN DOREN: Mimi, I just want to let you know… IZZY BLASTS MIMI RIGHT IN THE FACE WITH A FOREARM!!! Mimi is dropped after having already fought in a hellacious match. Izzy squats down next to Mimi and smiles at her. IZZY VAN DOREN: For what it’s worth, Meems, I agree with you. You’ve put in your work and pleaded your case numerous times. The fact that you currently own this briefcase proves that you are truly deserving of the World Title… BUT I DESERVE IT MORE!!! Fans begin to boo as Izzy continues. IZZY VAN DOREN: You may think NVR is your House, but I AM NVR!!! Nobody has held as many accolades as I have. Nobody has the world title as much as me. The only person who comes close to my resume here is my best friend, Karen Willow, and she only needs 3 more defenses before she beats Nevada for the world title. The fans are enraged at Izzy as Mimi starts to come to and glare at Izzy. IZZY VAN DOREN: And when that happens, I’ll be eligible for the NVR World Title again… and that’s why I NEED this!!! Izzy lifts Mimi’s briefcase. IZZY VAN DOREN: Poor Life Choices is what this company was built on. Karen and I have kept NVR afloat on our backs, and we deserve to have the main event spotlight and world title scene to ourselves. We’ve earned that much, but people keep trying to take that away from us, from me, and I’m absolutely SICK OF IT!!! Izzy drops the briefcase onto Mimi’s chest. IZZY VAN DOREN: So I’m going to challenge you for your opportunity, and I’m going to end this drought I’ve been stuck in by taking it from you. See you soon, Mimi. Izzy starts to walk away from Mimi, who is busy trying to collect herself. IZZY VAN DOREN: And who knows, Mimi, maybe I’ll give you the first title defense when I get my belt back. With that, IVD leaves the ring and the crowd feeling horribly conflicted about where their loyalty lies here. GEMMA MARCHAND: IZZY VAN DOREN SHOWING A DIFFERENT SIDE OF HERSELF HERE!!! EARLIER TODAY...
Lounging by a pool at his hotel, Anthony Cross was enjoying his last few moments before NVR Rumspringa Break. Suddenly, a shadow is cast over him while TJS and the TJS 4 NEWS Crew begin to stand over them. TJS asks Enforcer for a scoop, but Anthony Cross just turns away. Teddy, ever the persistent journalist, goes to the other side of the lounge chair and asks again. Cross threatens to beat up TJS, but Teddy reminds him that he was the one who beat Cross 1 on 1 when they faced off last year. Annoyed, Cross retorts that he holds more titles, both in NVR and around the world, and that Teddy should watch who he is talking to because Cross is going to win the fatal four-way and then the NVR World Championship. Teddy prods a bit more, asking him why he thinks he's so confident, and Cross replies that he is simply bigger and better than the rest of the competition. He can deadlift all three of them at once if he wants to, and the only way that any of them could win is if they all pin Cross at once, but that's not how it works... is it? Teddy shrugs and asks if he has any words for his opponents or even his possible future opponent, Nevada Brooks. Enforcer simply says "Fuck'em" to the other three, and to Nevada? His response is "Since you want me to earn it so badly, I'll put up with these three stooges tonight. However, when you and I are face-to-face gain, you'll have earned the ass whipping you'll receive from me when I take your title and become a triple crown NVR champion. Teddy thanks Cross and Cross threatens TJS 4 NEWS if they don't leave this instant.
DURING THE BREAK...
The Dead Pretenders are hyped. Sui Obata and Kira Izumi talk about how they can't wait to get their hands on Chad and Thad again. They feel like Chad and Thad are slippery and conniving, and despite having a win over the team, knowing there is an asterisk by that win makes them feel like they haven't won at all. Kira talks about other teams who have been a thorn in their sides, Wild Bunch and Indy Darlings namely, and how eventually they always got their win. Sui agrees that they're persistent, and adds on by saying that World's Chaddest Tag Team is the large hill before the mountain. They have challenged for the tag championships 5 times, and they promise that after tonight, they will go back up to the top of the mountain and finally conquer it.

The brothers share a quick fist bump on stage before the two begin to head down the ramp. VALENTINA LOVELACE: “Making their way to the ring from Atlanta, Georgia… THEY ARE THE WORLD’S CHADDEST TAG TEAM!!!” Soon Thad would Chad up onto the apron where they posed again before he sat on the rope like a good brother to allow Chad entry. Then he followed him into the ring, joining him in the ring corner as they took off their cool Chad sunglasses and climbed up the corner turnbuckles to hype up the crowd… while they awaited the match to commence. Kira and Sui celebrate in the ring. They’ve finally beaten Chad and Thad after months of feuding. Chad pulls Thad out of the ring and scolds him for missing the easy lay-up win. Sui and Kira continue to celebrate when they turn to the hard camera and start doing the championship belt motion, exclaiming that they’re setting their sights on another team they have struggled to beat. K.T. ANDERSON: NO FUCKING CHANCE THEY BEAT STRONGHOLD!!! MIGHT AS WELL QUIT NOW!!! WARHEAD WILLIAMS: DEAD PRETENDERS ARE CALLING THEIR SHOT AT THE TITLES!!! BACKSTAGE...
Diego Matias is all smiles and hype as the camera opens up on him. He addresses his title loss in December, and how he was unable to reclaim the title at LiaDT4, but that he continues to push on because the NVR Faithful is always right behind him. He talks about how he's been here for 4 years now, and though he's held the Goldenweight and R!ZE Championships, but he's never been able to claim the NVR World Championship. Diego still believes he is the "Ace of NVR", and he thinks that beating Nevada will help remind everyone else of his status. He compliments Gavin and MYOJIN, saying they're both phenomenal wrestlers and he's excited to face them. He thinks that individual matches with either could be MOTY contenders, but they'll have to wait until he wins the NVR World title for those opportunities. Matias then reminds the crowd that he has nothing but disdain for Enforcer and hopes that he steps on a Lego and runs out of gas on the highway. Diego wants nothing more than to pin Cross for this opportunity because it would be the ultimate vete a la chingada!
BACKSTAGE...
MYOJIN has only gold in their sight. They have respect for their opponents, but with how frustrated MYOJIN have been with their status in NVR, their self-preservation outweighs that. MYOJIN also acknowledges that their opponents are in similar boats and may be similarly desperate for their own opportunities. However, that's why MYOJIN needs to do everything in their power to come out on top. MYOJIN knows they're better than they have been able to show in NVR, but that MYO's draught is about to be over, and it'll be the Star Kid that ends up reaching for the Heavens and catching gold.

VALENTINA LOVELACE: Introducing first... #1 by Nelly plays as the colors of the Mexican flag strobe all over the arena as Diego comes out of the curtains. He does a prayer to his mentor, and waves hello at the camera to his sister Daya. Diego starts to walk down to the ring and hi-fives as many fans as he can before he slides to the ring and gives a shout-out to the man upstairs before he warms up for his opponent and acknowledges the crowd. VALENTINA LOVELACE: Now introducing... The compressed, 8-bit sounds of Silhouette by PASTEL GHOST reverbs throughout the arena as the lights dim. Purple, pink, and blue hues dance around and soak the audience in an ethereal aesthetic as the people in attendance raised the flashlights on their phones, mimicking a starfield. The Shining Star, MYOJIN, emerges at the entrance, smirking as they take in the reactions- both good and bad. Taking their time to strut down the ring, eyes focused purely on the squared circle ahead. Pastel Ghost, you're sleeping Saunter in the evening You won't need me and it's just I'm colder, I'm colder, I'm colder They walk up the steel steps, climbing up their nearest turnbuckle. Standing up as they give a piercing stare to the many watching while vibrant magenta flashes past their face from the ceiling above as they nonchalantly cast off their bedazzled jacket and toss it aside. Sit and wait on pale mist Bury me in your kiss You drown me in a whisper I warned you, I warned you, I wanted you Over and over and over MYOJIN backflips off of the top rope, landing on their feet while smoothly backing up into their respective corner. Lowering themself as they run both hands through their hair before holding onto the ropes near them, tilting their head enigmatically with patience as they wait for the match to begin. VALENTINA LOVELACE: Coming down next… The lights go out, and a few spotlights flash to the beat of “Throne” by Bring Me The Horizon begins to play. When the lead singer begins to sing out “Ooooh Ohohohoh Ooooh”, all of the lights turn back on to a blinding white light, as Gavin Grimes stands at the top of the ramp with his arms wide. The intensity of the lights goes down, as Gavin explodes with energy. He hi-fives fans and hypes them up as he heads to the ring. The Cult Classic slides across the apron, before posing for the fans. He goes into the ring and poses one more time in the center of the ring before heading to his corner. VALENTINA LOVELACE: And finally... Natural Born Killaz By Ice Cube and Dr. Dre starts playing throughout the arena. Smoke comes from the entranceway. As the smoke is clearing The Enforcer walks through the smoke and looks out at the crowd. Enforcer then walks down to the ring. He walks up the stairs onto the ring apron, looks out at the crowd, and lifts his arms out to the side. Enforcer steps through the top and middle ropes. Enforcer walks over to the opposite ring ropes and lifts his arms out to his side. VALENTINA LOVELACE: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN... THE WINNER OF THIS MATCH... VIA PINFALL... DIEGO MATIAS!!! Diego throws a hand in the air as he celebrates. Gavin and Julianna are off somewhere, still battling probably. Diego hypes the crowd up and tells Nevada that he’s coming for her if Squiggly doesn’t get her first. He has the fans chanting “VAMOS” when suddenly they shout “BEHIND YOU”!!! Matias can’t hear over the crowd, but surely enough, behind him, Enforcer is back to his feet. He charges at Diego, looking to cut him down, BUT MYOJIN INTERVENES!!! A running knee strike stuns Cross for only a second, as they both open up into a brawl of their own there in the center of the ring. Diego turns around and sees the commotion and decides to help Jeff the Ref and Security to separate the two. Diego pulls MYOJIN aside and thanks them for protecting him, and they stand tall together in the ring, while Cross calls out curses at both of them. GEMMA MARCHAND: SO MUCH CHAOS TONIGHT!!! K.T. ANDERSON: I LOVE IT!!! I LOVE IT!!! I LOVE IT!!! WARHEAD WILLIAMS: I love the sportsmanship between Diego and MYOJIN!!! That’s what wrestling is all about!!! |

DURING THE BREAK...
Squiggly is backstage talking over his game plan with Chicken. The Chicken squeaks a few times, and Squiggly agrees with it. For too long, Squiggly has been seen as a joke. He may be a clown, but he has dreams and "perspirations" of being NVR World Champion. What he did to DJ Danger and Dona Rotten was supposed to send a message to the NVR Locker Room that the Clown is done joking around, and he is going to make NVR his punchline instead of the other way around. Chicken squeaks a few more times and Squiggly snaps with one hand in agreeance. The chicken continues to "cut a promo" for his "client" as it squeaks and thinks numerous times. Squiggly couldn't have said it better himself, and that if that lengthy description of what they have planned doesn't scare Nevada Brooks, then living through it and watching Big Tee-Hee strip her of the belt she has held for nearly a year will.
BACKSTAGE...
Darby is looking for goodies in the halls of Studio Merlot. He says he feels like he's been lost without his "Shiny". Chasing that high of being champion is all he has been doing since losing the R!ZE Championship at American Thunder Dome last year. He's done more than earn his shot back at his shiny, and now it's just 3 seconds away from being his again. Darby is about to say something about Karen, but something catches his eye. He dives down and it's something shiny connected to a string. The string pulls the shiny away and Darby chases after it. When Darby is finally able to grasp the trinket he realizes it's connected to The Leader of the Lost, NOAH ORTEGA!!! Noah tells Darby that he looks lost. Darby says he wants nothing to do with a creep like Noah, and starts to walk away with the trinket. Noah pulls the line and the trinket slips between Darby's fingers. Noah says it doesn't matter what Darby wants, because soon, Darby will get what he needs. Darby rolls his eyes and says the only thing he needs is to win back the NVR R!ZE Championship, and for Noah to leave him the hell alone... or else!
PREVIOUSLY RECORDED...
Karen Willow says it's been a whirlwind few months. She won a title, lost a friend, and now she's just 4 defenses away from getting a shot at the NVR World Championship. She corrects herself because it'll actually be 3 once she beats Darby in a few minutes. Darby is good and all, but Karen's whole career has been built in these ropes. She was 18 when she started in NVR, now nearly 4 years in and she is one of two wrestlers who have EARNED the triple crown. The other being her best friend, Izzy Van Doren. Karen says that she's going to breeze through the next 4 3 defenses, so she can challenge for the NVR World Championship at American Thunder Dome, and once Izzy beats Mimi for the briefcase, they're going to have an all PLC main event. Now she just has to finish her light work for the night!

The upbeat, fast-paced tunes of Machine Gun Kelly’s pop punk “Kiss Kiss” starts to play and Darby comes out from backstage with his usual carefree energy. Pausing he’ll glance around to study the crowd and then begin to make his way quickly. On his way to the ring, he’ll try and barter and trade with fans along the ramp, looking to exchange any of the nick-nacks he might have picked up backstage (or who the hell knows where else). Sometimes he might be successful. Others he might come up empty. But eventually, he’ll turn his attention back to the task at hand, ascend the steel ringsteps, and then up the nearby turnbuckle post, flipping off the top turnbuckle and into the ring where he’ll find his way to his corner and (most likely) try and pickpocket the referee’s wallet on his way there. As the beat kicks in, Karen Willow steps through the curtain - illuminated by a single spotlight - and she surveys the fans with narrowed eyes. The corners of her mouth slowly curl upwards before Karen saunters down the ramp. As she gets to the ringside, Karen climbs through the ropes and paces around the ring like a caged animal, never taking her eyes off the opponent as the music fades out. VALENTINA LOVELACE: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN... THE WINNER OF THIS MATCH... VIA PINFALL... AND STILL NVR R!ZE CHAMPION… KAREN WILLOW!!! Karen screams for her title as she shoves over Steph the Ref and takes it from her. Rolling out of the ring, Karen receives a mixed reaction as she raises her title. The fans can’t seem to agree with back-to-back low blows in title defenses here. However, the mixed reactions turn into straight boos as Noah Ortega slides into the ring. He kneels next to Darby and just waves at him. Darby glares at Noah but is too frustrated and exhausted to fight anyone right now. WARHEAD WILLIAMS: What is up with Karen Willow lately??? I know she’s always been a loose cannon, but this is starting to get ridiculous!!! GEMMA MARCHAND: I think the NVR Faithful are right there with you, and with what Izzy Van Doren did earlier tonight, we’re seeing two main stays of NVR in a rare for. K.T. LIVE...Nevada Brooks realizes she has a target on her back. Tonight alone, half the roster wants to be the one who ends her near historic title reign, but here's a newsflash for the roster, she's ready for all of them. The term newsflash triggers TJS 4 NEWS to appear, and Teddy asks to interview Nevada, but Brooks says she's already in the middle of the promo. TJS asks is there was anything specific she wanted to say, so he can "get the scoop first". 'Vada agrees, and continues on. She talks about the names she's beaten to prove why she's the best wrestler in NVR. How she started as to little more than a nobody in the 2021 Women's Summit, and has scratched and clawed for nearly 2 years to be in the position she is in. Nevada knows there are others who are frustrated or have been in NVR longer than her who still haven't made it to the top, but it's not her job to hand the belt to someone just because they're down. She earned her title, and if anyone is going to take it from her, it's going to be someone else who has earned it, not someone who pitied themselves into an opportunity. Speaking of pity, she talks about how Squiggly doesn't intimidate her. Nevada has faced big and scary before and still one. She's faced every odd and oddity this company has to offer, and at the end of the night, Squiggly is just going to be a sad clown that nobody wants to be around. TJS says that NVR has heard it here first, and thanks Brooks for allowing him to get the exclusive. Nevada is about to say something, but Teddy "sees another scoop" and the whole TJS 4 NEWS team runs away.

After the intro we see Squiggly come out from the back sporting a pig mask with clown makeup smeared over it. A large oversized tie rests over his ring attire as he approaches the ramp. He pulls a match from behind his ear and strikes it before lighting his tie. Firecrackers begin popping as Squiggly begins to tremble, almost seizure-like. The smoke clears as Squiggly continues shaking his head, twitching, and shaking his arms as he heads toward the ring. Squiggly comes to the edge of the ring where he ditches his tie and rolls in under the ropes. He stands up before he begins circling the ring, looking out at the crowd. He rips the mask from his face and lets out a deep belly laugh as he twitches and scratches at his bald, tattooed head. VALENTINA LOVELACE: And now, the champion... As En Route To Mayhem by Apocalyptica plays, the music rolls out over the room, from the back emerges Nevada Brooks, determination in her steps as she moves down the ramp towards the ring. She pauses at the ringsteps to look out over the fans in attendance and she throws her hands up in a signal for them, a big smile on her pretty face. She pauses to wipe her boots on the apron before ducking between the ropes, lingering a bit before moving on into the ring, her expression focused and eager as she waits for the match to begin. VALENTINA LOVELACE: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN... THE WINNER OF THIS MATCH... VIA PINFALL... AND STILL NVR WORLD CHAMPION… NEVADA BROOKS!!! Nevada takes a few deep breaths, as this was the first time her title reign was truly in danger, but she’s just relieved it's over. Jeff the Ref grabs her NVR World Championship and puts it around her waist. Nevada tells the roster to keep’em coming because she’s not going down any time soon. Squiggly starts to crawl through the hole in the mat, cackling violently as he does, meaning that the feud between him and Dona is FAR from over. Brooks finishes the show celebrating. GEMMA MARCHAND: NEVADA BROOKS IS SO FREAKISHLY TALENTED!!! WARHEAD WILLIAMS: Despite the dirty tactics by Squiggly, and the interference by Dona Rotten, this match was a very big example of just how good our world champion truly is. K.T. ANDERSON: WE WERE SO CLOSE, SQUIGGS!!! WE WERE SO FUCKING CLOSE!!! |
